The Golden Cheese Kingdom is a kingdom founded by Head Icon Golden Cheese Cookie. This kingdom is split into two realities: one in the real-world, deserted sands of the Parmesan Desert, and one in the idyllic, digital Golden City of fallen souls. The latter having been closed down during the events of Goddess of Eternal Gold.

The kingdom is inspired largely by the culture of ancient Egypt with perhaps some influence from Mesoamerica, these being reflected in its sun-bird-god worship and hidden golden city respectively. The kingdom's futuristic technology is inspired by ancient Egypt's notably-advanced society compared to its peers, while its endless wealth is based on the "rich," flavorful nature of cheese.

Unlike the other kingdoms of Cookie Run: Kingdom, the Golden Cheese Kingdom underwent a large-scale revamping of its original concepts seen in The Art of Cookie Run: Kingdom; much of that featured in the art book is now considered inaccurate to the game's canon.

The real-world Golden Cheese Kingdom is a land of naught. Its empty palace halls sit in silence, the citizens all being killed off in the Dark Flour War. All that remains are the souls of those killed kept safe in sarcophagi and the Cheesebirds working away in the adjacent mines. The Cheesebirds endlessly mine for cheese minerals while waiting for Head Icon their queen to return, while The Golden City's servers and the cheese wheel containers of the lost citizen's souls are maintained by other dedicated Cheesebirds—though Head Icon a soul or two may slip through the cracks.

In stark contrast to the Golden Cheese Kingdom of the physical world, the Golden City is teeming with life and nurtures no pain or sorrow. This digital world artificially supports the "lives" of the lost Golden Cheese Kingdom citizens, allowing their souls to continue to exist in a perfect world where all their desires are met forever. With hedonism and greed at its very core, this world exists due to Golden Cheese Cookie's grief-driven denial to let her citizens—her most valuable treasures—be lost.

The Golden Cheese Kingdom and the Golden City are inspired by Ancient Egyptian religious architecture, with depicted structures and artwork resembling many of the famous features of Ancient Egypt such as the Great Pyramids of Giza and logographic system of writing hieroglyphs.

The Golden Cheese Kingdom possesses qualities of many different eras of Ancient Egyptian history whose key qualities such as polytheism and temples strongly persisted before the common era. It would be reductive to elect inspiration to one era of Egyptian history, but the eras of the Ptolemic Empire and Roman annexation are considerable candidates due to Golden Cheese Cookie's resemblance to archetypal Cleopatra and the presence of a Colosseum in the Golden City.

Appearance. Golden Cheese Cookie has a golden burst of hair and dark brown dough. Her eyes are also golden with white outlines and eyebrows and a green pattern underneath them. She boasts a pair of golden arc-shaped wings with a green triangle pattern on their edges.

She wears a golden headdress on her head that contains her Soul Jam, with a perfect cheese triangle topping it and two longer triangles on the sides of her head. Her upper half is half-covered by a wide gold and green collar with outward spokes, while her lower half is covered by a linen skirt with an orange belt. She wears golden bracelets on her hands and wields a spear with two triangles on its ends pointed in the same direction, with the triangle on the point sporting holes similar to Swiss cheese. Personality A particularly proud and ambitious hero, Golden Cheese Cookie equates wealth to godliness and sees no reason to be humble about it. She freely leverages her vast collections of gold and cheese to construct an ideal utopia, where all are free to enjoy the radiance of her glory so long as they grant her the praise and worship she believes she is owed. She entertains fabulous beliefs about her origins and powers, as they all serve to make her appear even more glorious.

Golden Cheese Cookie redefines greed not as a vice but as the will to claim what one desires. Even in her youth, her willingness to brave inhospitable and desolate ruins for lost treasures was what eventually led her to the Light of Abundance. Despite her apparent arrogance, she acts as a kind queen that will do anything for the good of her Kingdom and her people, whom she sees as her own treasure, willing to spare no expense to preserve them from the ravages of destruction.

Appearance Fettuccine Cookie is a tiny, thin Cookie with roast brown dough. Her medium yellow eyes, featuring thick strokes of camel fur orange, bring out her bewildered yet innocent-looking demeanor. Her cornsilk yellow pasta hair, covered in specks of basil leaves, spreads every which way, starting from a strand of hair draping across the middle of her face and ending with two large tuft ponytails tied at the back. Topping off the hair are two farfalle hair clips, one colored melon orange and the other muddy yellow-green.

The thick fettuccine alfredo wraps distinctly match her hairstyle: Fettuccine Cookie's neckline is wrapped in the extremely long noodle and trails all throughout its body, where much of it is rendered in lighter shades of pink, orange, and green. Large clusters of it form her arms; the way Fettuccine Cookie presents herself as she walks with her arms reaching outward is reminiscent to that of a wandering mummy. The three short stick-shaped fingers appear to resemble penne pasta. The pasta strand finally ends at her right foot.

Personality Fettuccine Cookie is a living enigma, both to the digital Golden City and the real world. Perceived as confused, lost, and potentially dangerous due to her strange, mummified appearance and the errors caused by her fragmented soul, she has bouts of disorientation and sorrow, an unfortunate consequence to the unintended beetle bites that caused this irreparable damage in the first place. These marks are a grim reminder of the suffering she either cannot or will not fully articulate, a pitiful disposition as she aimlessly wanders around with a fear of the unknown, trapped as this partially alive entity in a virtual limbo meant to be free of any pain or regret.

Appearance Mozzarella Cookie is a Cookie of average height and thickish build with deep brown dough. She has turquoise blue eyes and matching eyeshadow, round eyebrows, a cat-like mouth, and floor-length prehensile platinum blonde hair resembling mozzarella cheese. She is barefoot and wears a sleeveless white dress with a turquoise wrap and gold trim, a gold anklet and bracelet, and a matching gold headdress resembling cow horns with a floating wedge of cheese in the shape of an inverted triangle. Mozzarella Cookie is also often seen carrying a golden bell engraved with a wing design.

Personality Mozzarella Cookie is a laid-back and carefree Cookie who works in the Control Chamber of the Golden City and is the leader and administrator of the Marzipan Cookies. She has an affinity for gambling and betting. —especially when it's unpredictable, has high stakes—and anything unusual or interesting enough to catch her eye. She also dislikes routine in general, preferring to live an unpredictable life. Her attitude towards Golden Cheese Cookie is one of adoration and loyalty, ever grateful to the one she considers the most interesting Cookie of all. Mozzarella Cookie is also enigmatic, which makes it harder to know her true thoughts and feelings.

Appearance Smoked Cheese Cookie is a seemingly tall Cookie with dark-brown dough, with white eyelashes, yellow sclera and red slit pupils, all adorned in black makeup that resembles the Eye of Horus. He sports a long, dark red bird-like hood that touches the floor, adorned with purple and golden streaks that make the image of a falcon's face, not to mention the falcon beak cap attached at the top of the hood to complete this. The beak is touched by an accessory that resembles the sun.

For his attire, his upper half is half-covered by a wide, desaturated gold usekh collar. Personality Smoked Cheese Cookie appeared as a trusted advisor for Golden Cheese Cookie's court, keeping monsters under control with his powers. He is shown to often be sarcastic and audacious towards those around him, along with having a short temper that can easily flip. He behaves respectfully towards Golden Cheese Cookie despite their disagreements, compared to how Mozzarella Cookie and Burnt Cheese Cookie treat her with total adoration and trust. Despite his actions, he cares significantly for the Golden Cheese Kingdom above all else.

Burnt Cheese Cookie is the stoic gatekeeper of the Golden Cheese Kingdom. He stands guard at the gates with his loyal jackals, stopping anyone driven by “impure greed” from entering the Golden City. To pass through, one must first overcome his trials and prove their heart is pure.

Burnt Cheese Cookie has been part of the kingdom since its very creation, though he was much younger back then. Even after countless years of guarding the gates, he still holds deep respect for Head Icon Her Radiance and remains fully devoted to her.

His loyalty to the kingdom and its queen is so strong that he’s willing to sacrifice himself to protect them if needed. In fact, this devotion is what led to his death during the Dark Flour War massacre. This is confirmed in Head Icon Golden Cheese Cookie’s dialogue from “The Lost Golden City,” where she says, “Burnt Cheese Cookie... who crumbled protecting my land…” While often described as “needlessly serious,” Burnt Cheese Cookie isn’t one for long talks, and his face rarely shows much emotion. Still, he clearly has a soft spot for his jackals. A loading screen even mentions that “Burnt Cheese Cookie spends his days off purchasing treats for his jackals and snakes!” He seems to understand and communicate with them, as seen in “The Error Report,” where he questions one of his jackals for neglecting the back entrance—and even reacts to its answer.

Beneath his stern and imposing nature, Burnt Cheese Cookie deeply cares for his companions. In “The Error Report,” when his jackals begin duplicating due to a strange error, he says, “It will not be easy to take care of all of you. But, of course… I will be more attentive to your needs.”

Burnt Cheese Cookie seems to be wearing a shendyt, colored black with white at the bottom and light yellow edges, alongside a thick belt at the waist, colored light blue with two light yellow lines at the top and bottom of the belt, keeping it in place. He appears to be wearing a wide, pale yellow usekh collar with a tilted square hanging from a cut-out, square-shaped spot. His left arm is entirely covered in black with two russet bracelets on his wrists, and the bracelets seem to shine. His right arm is only half covered; his shoulder appears to be covered in black, and from his elbow down to his fingers is covered in black as well. There's a line of black slightly above the elbow. On his left leg is a golden anklet. Burnt Cheese Cookie's head is dominated by a black, Anubis-style ceremonial headdress with tall, pointed jackal ears. A prominent, curved pale gold muzzle descends from the headdress, completely obscuring his eyes and meeting the darkened skin of his face sharply above his ornate collar. From the rear of the black headdress flows a vast, voluminous amount of dark hair. This hair is styled like a heavy mantle, cascading down his back and over his shoulders, and as it flares out, it dramatically reveals a pale gold lining underneath.

His weapons seem to be a mix between a trident and a spear; its body is colored light blue, with the end resembling a two-slotted fork that curves slightly, and at the top is presumably resembling a jackal with two pointed "ears" at the top of the "head", which has a hole in the center with a pale yellow orb inside. Below the "head" seem to be additional accessories that seem to resemble wings, possibly representing Golden Cheese Cookie, with pale yellow lines.

They are inhabitants of the Parmesands Desert, and make up most of the living residents of the Golden Cheese Kingdom. Their primary occupations are managing the cheese mines and worshipping Head Icon Golden Cheese Cookie.

With the exception of those mentioned, the other cookies lead fairly ordinary lives as citizens of their kingdoms. They all live unique lives and have unique appearances. No two cookies are exactly alike. Occasionally, they go on explorations or missions at the behest of their ruler, but otherwise, they are content with their ordinary lives in the kingdoms. They can also vary in height, from the size of a 5-year-old child (often these are cookie children) to slightly taller than an adult.
