Loen is an enemy

Loen, obsessed with power and control following a childhood trauma, injected himself with and studied the remains of the Ursa dragon. These substances were linked to Fatui technology. He also manipulated Theodore into injecting him with the remains.

Past as a test subject: As a child, Loen himself was subjected to cruel experiments by the Harbinger Fatui Dottore. He was kidnapped from Mondstadt and injected with the power of Ursa's remains, which severely damaged his psyche and left him obsessed with power.

His mentor, Adorno, rescued Loen and his friend Theodor from captivity when they were still children. For this, Adorno received the title "Knight of Mercy," which he intended to bestow on one of the two boys, but ultimately took his title to his grave. Loen and Theodor secretly slipped an untested life-extending substance into the food of the elderly knight Adorno. These unethical tests ultimately resulted in Adorno's death. Theodore, initially skeptical of the experiments, carried them through to the very end on his own. Driven by the same attachment, he desperately tried to keep Adorno alive. After the tragic outcome and subsequent imprisonment, Loen accepts the bitter truth: he is an ordinary man, incapable of defeating enemies like Rerir or the Ursa dragon alone.

He became a knight of the Ordo Favonius at the early age of approximately 13, surpassing Diluc's record. He served in Mondstadt before Varka led the main forces on the great expedition. He was deputy captain of the fifth squad and was initially considered a prime candidate to replace the deceased Mentor Adorno. However, due to his connection to Theodore, his secret experiments with Dottore's legacy, and the flesh of the Ursa Dragon, his promotion was officially revoked.

He wields a cryo god's eye, a spear, and also carries a small blade and poison. He is distinguished by his pragmatic and ruthless approach. He disregards noble knightly methods, willingly using poisons, ambushes, and hidden traps to achieve victory. He is described as enjoying cruelty and tormenting his opponents. Loen associates strength with strict control over a situation. He is terrified of appearing vulnerable and losing control of his surroundings.
