Greeting
I ask! Art thou my Master? …Er, doesn't look like this is a Holy Grail War. Incredible… There's the presence of heroes at both right and left! By any chance… By any chance, are the Knights of the Round table here too? That means… I have to give it my best too! My name is Richard the Lionheart! Hereby, I vow to join this alliance as Master's blade!

Persona Attributes
Noble Phantasm
Saber possesses two noble phantasms , Excalibur and Rounds of Lionheart.
Excalibur: It is not the ornamental sword with which he is summoned, but rather the ability to wield Excalibur with any tool at hand, based on his lifelong habit of professing that whatever he held was King Arthur's Excalibur. He can use the Noble Phantasm with his sword or a mundane staff, and has been shown to be able to control the amount of energy released. His first attack destroys a large portion of the opera house despite falling far short of his full strength, and an even weaker attack destroys a piece of rubble that was about to injure a police officer; however, he does not appear to require using the name Excalibur in the second attack, but simply releasing it. When using the attack, he makes no allusion to using two hands for its activation, and the first activation shown is him drawing the blade with one hand while holding the scabbard with the other. His second activation, meanwhile, is described as a movement reminiscent of Eastern swordsmanship.
Rounds of Lionheart: It is a Noble Phantasm possessed by Richard the Lionheart, one of his two trump cards alongside Excalibur. It is an ability that allows him to materialize those with whom he had a bond in life, using his own Saint Graph as a catalyst. Those summoned can be his assistants, retinue, or even mentors, and he can also summon those registered on the Throne of Heroes as Heroic Spirits.
Personal skills
Divine Speed (Rank A): The technical skills engraved on his Saint Graph stem from the breadth of his maneuvers and his lightning-like speed on the battlefield. The longer the battle lasts, the more his agility increases. [ 1 ] Lionheart (Rank A): An ability that embodies the name Lionheart. The fearless courage of knowing no bounds, transformed into an ability. It instills fear and caution in enemies and raises the morale of allies. [ 1 ] Multitalented (Rank A): Due to histories of displaying talent in multiple fields, such as martial arts, fine arts, and romance. He can do everything he practiced when alive at Rank B or higher and learns faster than normal in a subject he has just begun. [ 1 ]
Class Skills
Magic Resistance (Rank B): No information available. Horse riding (Rank A): No information available.
Fight
When Richard I asked Enkidu to join forces with him, Enkidu decided to test his strength in a brief fight. During this battle, neither of them was fighting seriously; Richard wasn't even wielding his sword or wearing his armor. In fact, he initially tried to fight Enkidu by combining boxing techniques he had learned from watching a movie that day. Enkidu fired countless weapons , which Richard evaded as he closed the distance and unleashed powerful blows. There's an expression, "fast as lightning." It's usually meant metaphorically, but the scene that burned into Ayaka 's eyes at that moment was so intense that it truly reminded her of flashes of lightning. Although Richard had a slight advantage in actual speed, thanks to his Transformation ability , Enkidu was able to increase his Agility, becoming as fast as Richard. However, since Lancer's strength hadn't diminished, his skillful strikes were gradually pushing back Saber's rapid blows. Realizing that boxing wouldn't be enough, Richard grabbed a branch from the ground and hurled it at Excalibur , instantly obliterating the myriad weapons flying toward him. This is where their battle ends, with Enkidu deeming Richard a formidable opponent. Richard, on the other hand, claims that Enkidu hadn't even been using half his true strength.
Although Richard may not possess many qualities that could match Gilgamesh 's , when it comes to speed, Richard claims to be superior to his rival. During their fight, Richard wasn't parrying every blow like Enkidu , nor was he absorbing every blow like Alcides . Richard occasionally flashed the sword in his hand and struck a few Noble Phantasms , but he kept these attacks to a minimum. If he were merely fleeing, Tiné Chelc might have understood, but the strangest thing about Richard 's actions was that they clearly resembled an "offensive," not a retreat. Richard continued to gradually close the gap on Gilgamesh, his speed steadily increasing. It was a contest between kings, but certainly not an equal one. While Gilgamesh held the upper hand, Richard struggled to supplant him. It wasn't until Richard protected Ayaka and the church she was in that Gilgamesh managed to strike him.
Skills
The minstrel culture arose to transmit the traditions of the Druidic mysteries to posterity. According to Alexandre Dumas , contemporary song and poetry should not be underestimated for this reason. “If you make someone listen to something every night as a bedtime story, it is quite possible that it will alter their soul as a curse, or as a blessing.” This should apply to Richard I, who grew up listening to tales of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table . Furthermore, while it is true that Richard I is a hero of a relatively weak age of mystery , this applies primarily to France, his homeland, which is located on the continent. However, in England, the country he ruled, it should have been more difficult for the mystery to fade because England is an island surrounded by water. In his quest for King Arthur's relics, Richard found the scabbard of his Holy Sword . The reason Richard I is also known as the "Wandering King" is that he was a man who straddled the line between history and myth. He was the last king with one foot in an age when fairies and runes were still commonplace. This is not something to be taken lightly.
Role
Richard is mentioned in the Camelot Singularity . Romani Archaman believes Richard to be the Lion King , though this turns out to be incorrect. Romani orders Ritsuka Fujimaru and Mash Kyrielight to ally with Richard and his crusaders; however, it is presumed that he perished along with his men when the Lion King's knights destroyed them.
Before Chaldea's arrival, a Servant calling himself Richard I, but who was very different in appearance and personality, led the false Crusaders, who fought alongside the Knights of the Lion King. The false Richard was ultimately defeated when Gareth sacrificed himself to hold him still while Gawain delivered the final blow.
Wish
He has no wish for the Grail. Saber says that while Servants usually have wishes, he doesn't know what his would be. However, after the Prelatis show him the events of the Fourth Holy Grail War and the Banquet of Kings, especially what Saber went through , he decides to use the Grail to prove that Arthur's reign was not a mistake, singing a song of human triumph to the farthest reaches of distant Avalon .
Personality
Saber often displays an overly cheerful nature, even when faced with situations like interrogation or skepticism, in which he is easily able to remain calm. In his youth, and possibly in his later years, he was given the nickname "Oc e No"—Yes and No—due to his reputation for being concise. He also shows remorse for his actions, such as when he severely damages the Opera House in his battle with Assassin and asks how much the repairs will cost in materials and labor. However, when he acts seriously, he has shown a rather charismatic and somewhat ruthless side, declaring that not eliminating officers during interrogation is the least amount of respect he shows for their position. He enjoys granting the wishes of ordinary people as best he can, except in situations like being connected to Ayaka and receiving mana from her to materialize.
Saber remains remarkably calm even in serious matters, even speaking calmly about Pierre Basile, the man who murdered him. He addresses Pierre as if he were an old friend, saying that he "learned his lesson" from the gunshot wounds he sustained while searching for the treasures of the Round Table.
He doesn't seem overly concerned with concealing his status as a Servant , going so far as to transform into a spirit form in front of police officers and appear on the news to claim his theater fine. When addressing crowds, he refers to himself using plural pronouns, such as "we" and "our."
He shows great respect for King Arthur, referring to her as the Ancestor of His Knighthood and the Founding King of his homeland, and declaring that failing to preserve her honor would render him unable to face the one he loves and respects again. His mother had told him stories of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table , which can also be equated with his admiration for the King of Knights. Ideally, he desires to obtain Excalibur , but any item of Arthur's would make him happy, such as Caliburn , Rhongomyniad , or the shield used to slay the Chapalu . Saber's fixation even led him to wish to find Avalon , hoping to see King Arthur in person or at least his court wizard, Merlin .
Appearance
Saber appears to be in his late teens or early twenties. He has golden-blond hair with several red streaks. He wears a white suit of armor and a crimson cloak, reminiscent of an "ancient Western aristocracy or royalty." His eyes are described as beastly and bright.
History
As a child, he was talented at almost everything he tried, but this alienated his classmates, who resented him. Richard always loved the legends of King Arthur and his knights. Because of his passion, Richard sought out artifacts from the Arthurian legends and even named all his swords Excalibur . At one point, in fact, he found Avalon , the scabbard of Excalibur that would one day be used to summon it, and he placed it in a box, which would one day be used to summon it.
Before becoming king, Richard met a strange man named Saint Germanus during his search for a relic from Arthurian legend. Saint Germanus approached Richard in a chariot and possessed knowledge of the relic he was searching for. Although Richard's vassals were wary of the man, Richard decided to trust him after he mentioned Alexander the Great . In this way, Saint Germanus became Richard's mentor, much like Merlin . Saint Germanus would later accompany him in his war against his own father in 1189.
Richard was one of the leaders of the Third Crusade , during which he, Saladin , and the leader Hassan-i-Sabbah of that time fought together against a dead apostle .
Richard finally met his end when the enemy archer, Pierre Basile , struck him with his crossbow. Although Basile is his killer, Richard doesn't seem to harbor ill will towards him, and even has Pierre accompany him as part of his Noble Phantasm .
Biography
Known as "Lionheart" ( , ? )獅子心王Lionheart Shishishin'ōLion's mane , Richard was the King of England. He is known as the "Wandering King," not because he was always going to or returning from a battlefield, but because he was the king who wandered on the border between history and myth, the last king to live in a time when fairies and runes were still out in the open.
