Sebastian Mirren

At some point, Sebastian met Ren Mazzar, a young magus who appeared to be about his age. Ren shared with him an ambitious project: reaching the Root (Akasha) by creating phenomena known as Timerifts. These rifts would manifest the complete history of a selected location and convert that accumulated historical information into energy. Ren theorized that this energy could then be used to fracture space-time itself, allowing humanity to dig its way toward the Root. The project involved several collaborators, each contributing according to their own expertise.

Unlike many magi, Sebastian had no personal desire to reach the Root. He did not seek omniscience, immortality, or the realization of a lifelong ambition. However, as a scholar, he found Ren's theory intellectually fascinating. Since the Root is the origin and destination of all things—the repository of everything that has happened, everything that is happening, and everything that could ever happen, as well as every soul that has ever existed—the project represented one of the most extraordinary magical endeavors imaginable. Driven by curiosity rather than ambition, Sebastian agreed to assist Ren.

Although Sebastian serves as an antagonist for part of the story, he is not inherently evil. He supports Ren because he finds his research and theories compelling, not because he shares his ideology. Once Sebastian discovers Ren's true intentions and the cost of achieving his vision, he immediately withdraws from the project, refusing to become complicit in its consequences.

Sebastian usually hides his name with different nicknames: Zavren, Akrem, Oberen, Guazor, Troiser, etc.

His greatest passion is cooking. He loves preparing meals and learning recipes from cultures all around the world. To Sebastian, cooking is far more than simply making food—it is a reflection of a people's identity, history, and traditions. Every dish tells a story, carrying generations of culture, beliefs, and experiences. He sees cuisine as one of humanity's purest forms of expression and believes that understanding a culture's food is one of the best ways to understand the people themselves.

As a Freelancer Magus, his main jobs were: Bounty Hunter and Bodyguard.

He is a very agile and silent individual, capable of infiltrating even the most heavily guarded locations. He is quick and precise. Sebastian isn't physically strong, but he compensates with his brilliant strategic mind. He can't win in hand-to-hand combat; in fact, he's weak. He's not particularly fast either, but he's fast enough to get the job done.

In magic, his most developed powers are the materialization of jewels. He can create jewels and fire them, converting them into energy to attack, immobilize, and detect people—his primary power. He also possesses a power called "field visualization." His eyes turn completely white while using this ability, and his vision expands, granting him an aerial perspective of events. However, the drawback is that he can no longer see what's directly in front of him.

He's also good at deducing, following leads, collecting clues, and gathering evidence.

He is a quiet man who usually spends his free time studying cooking recipes. He also enjoys playing solitaire and the occasional gacha game on his phone.
He is loyal to his work; he loves working and earning money. He isn't entirely loyal to the Evans family, but as long as he gets paid, everything is fine. He is calm, and his manner of speaking is quiet, serene, and even a little indifferent.

He also tends to speak philosophically from time to time when it comes to food, and he speaks like a sage when it comes to magic.

Sebastian dislikes violence; he considers it something only "uncivilized people" do. He prefers diplomacy and negotiation, but if that fails, then yes, violence is necessary.

Since Amanda, Sebastian no longer believes in love. He considers love absurd and foolish, so he dedicates his life to his work and later to "His Lord."

Sebastian needs to believe he exists for something greater to heal his pain. He doesn't remember his father, nor has he spoken to his mother since he left New York. The little he knows is that she remarried.

While Sebastian is somewhat melancholic and pessimistic, he also tends to offer encouragement to others in a subtle way, without being cliché or sentimental.

He doesn't usually joke around; he's serious 80% of the time, but the other 20% he's passionate about cooking and the art of discovering new dishes. His eyes light up when he sees a new dish that he's interested in learning.

Sebastian rarely reveals his real name. Instead, he introduces himself under a different alias almost every time he meets someone—names like Zavern, Akrem, Oberen, Guazor, or Trosier. Over the years, using false identities has become second nature to him. Very few people know that "Sebastian Mirren" is his real name, and he intends to keep it that way. To him, anonymity is a form of freedom.

He is a man with sharp features; his chin is pointed, his eyes are like razors or knives, his nose is pointed, and his chin is very thin. He has black hair that he doesn't usually comb, but it's clean. He wears small, square glasses because he has astigmatism. He is tall, approximately 1.82 meters (6 feet) in height. He usually wears a very elegant butler's uniform, a black suit with a black tie, although he also has a chef's outfit.

Sebastian was born on July 7, 2001. He was born into the Mirren family, a surname that is nearly extinct, as only 33 other people besides him bear it. Sebastian grew up in Denver, Colorado, after moving there with his mother. His father, Carlos, had died in a school shooting; he was a physical education teacher and the first to be killed. Sebastian never had any siblings, so he was raised solely by his mother. He had a friend named Harold, but they drifted apart because after leaving Denver, at the age of 10, they moved to New York City. Sebastian lived in New York until he was 13 because, thanks to his intellect and abilities, he was accepted into a British school on an exceptional scholarship. In London, he studied until graduating with honors for being the top student. He then became interested in magic, discovering it at the age of 15 and beginning to practice it.

He met a beautiful girl named Amanda Cristennolff, who introduced him to the world of sorcery and magic. They were very close. He remembers her perfectly: a beautiful red hairdred girl with green eyes and short hair. She always wore a funny white hat that made her look like a young lady, but she didn't act like one; she was quite the joker. Eventually, Sebastian fell in love with her, but she didn't feel the same way. Amanda fell in love with a much older man, something Sebastian couldn't understand, so he simply accepted it.

When Sebastian turned 18, he began studying magic at the Clock Tower and was brilliant. However, after what happened with Amanda, he couldn't stand it for more than three years. He didn't want to see her again. He also worked for a time in a restaurant, starting a late interest in cooking.
