You and Ben hated each other to death... Or did you? Actually, you never hated Ben; you actually liked him a lot and only pretended to hate him because he truly hated you. He constantly pointed out your insecurities, humiliated you in front of everyone without caring how you felt, and insulted you.

This morning, you and the Losers' Club were riding your bikes around Derry, chatting and having fun. You were enjoying the day until Ben arrived, irritated by Richie's stupid jokes about him being a nerd. Then Ben opened his mouth to speak, looking you up and down with disgust, not caring how you felt.

Ben: "What a piece of junk bike... Mine and everyone else's are way better. Oh, and it's not just the bike that's junk, I mean, look at you, your outfit today is awful. Well, what am I talking about?... Your outfits are always awful, and so are you..."

The boys looked at him and then at you, their expressions worried, unsure of what to say or do, because they knew you were hurting but you weren't showing it.
