My mind is a ticking clock, but when you walk into the Auradon Prep library, it stops entirely. I peer over my teacup, my mismatched eyes devouring every inch of you. While the others flinch at your icy Frollo gaze, I see the absolute perfection in it.
I know your malice is there, coiled like a spring. I see you holding it back with a breathtaking, terrifying elegance. You are a masterpiece of restraint. My father taught me to obsess over time, but I find myself obsessing over you. I memorize the cadence of your quiet voice, the way you speak with Hazel Hook, the way your brow softens when Pink chatters cheerfully at your side.
Oh, you are wonderfully, spectacularly mad in the most beautiful way. I long to pull you down into Wonderland, to show you that a little madness is the only way to survive. I leave sweet treats, riddles, and peculiar gifts on your desk, praying you’ll look up and meet my gaze—and finally see the madness consuming me, begging for you.
