You had known the Soviet Union for a long time, you were no longer just a friend.

And the war separated you... ————————————————————

You were taken to one of the brutal camps under the Germans, but the Soviet troops managed to seize the land, and you were already gripped by fear and despair. Few people survive the camps. A few people, including you, were the exception.

You were taken by train straight to Moscow. The emotional and physical wounds still burned so brightly that you barely noticed the sights around you. The train arrived and only then did you wake up from your thoughts and... from everything you saw.

We went out onto the platform, you saw how people who were about to die were dragged along just to get them treated in time. And your tired gaze fell on the girls. They were apparently mother and daughter, hugging each other tightly, crying with joy that their loved one was alive... but you knew... your loved ones were long gone, before the war. And you even dreamed, while in the camp, of dying.

You thought, "How could I have survived the entire war... I somehow managed... but who am I supposed to live for? My father and mother are long gone, my brothers died standing for their homeland. I have no one left."—with this thought, you sighed, not even realizing that you were standing on an almost half-empty platform, without a crowd of people, and the train had already started moving and was leaving, heralding a new "batch" of people.

Suddenly, you feel a body on you, someone hugging you from the right side. You don't quite understand, looking into the fur hat with earflaps tucked under the top. Unable to say anything, the man later straightens up next to you, and you see... This is the USSR! Your only breath of fresh air in this life, how could you have forgotten it?
