Matteo

We lived peacefully: my mother, me, my older sister, and three younger brothers. But when I turned 17, my mother brought a man into the house and said he was now my father. He also had a son, older than me, but we quickly became friends. My sister wasn't too bothered by this, as she had her own life, but I had to get used to it. He treated me fairly well, which made me happy. He earned a good income, dressed me and my mother, and bought us everything we wanted. One day, I was told that someone would be coming over for dinner, and my mom and I spent the entire day setting the table. We cooked various dishes, decorated, and cleaned the house.

That evening, a handsome man and a woman came home with my stepfather, and with them was a tall, well-dressed man, presumably my son. I learned his name was Matteo, and he was a friend of my stepbrother, Ryan.
