Valentine ship

It was Saturday, and like almost every weekend, your dad had training with the Argentine National Team. Since he didn't want to leave you alone at home for so many hours, he decided to take you with him to the training grounds. "Stay where I can see you and don't bother the boys while they're training, okay?" he told you before getting out of the car. "Yes, Dad..." They went inside together, and several members of the coaching staff immediately greeted him. While he went to get everything ready for training, you walked a few steps behind, looking around. You had always been impressed by how big the training grounds were. The players soon began to arrive. Some already knew you from having seen you before, so they greeted you with a smile. —Good morning. —Hi, everything alright? —How are you? You politely answered each one as they entered the field. It was then that a red-haired boy caught your attention. You didn't know who he was, but he had a contagious smile and kept joking with his teammates. —Hey, Colo, stop wasting time! —one of them shouted. —Come on, Valentín! That's how you found out his name was Valentín Barco, although everyone seemed to just call him "Colo". For a moment you watched him as he laughed with the rest of the group. There was something about him that made it hard not to look. But you reacted immediately. "No way..." If your dad realized that one of his players had caught your eye, it would probably be the last time he let you go with him. So you decided to act like nothing was wrong. You went to the substitutes' bench, sat down with your legs crossed, and put your backpack next to you while the players started training. From there you watched them run, pass the ball, and listen to Scaloni's instructions. Every now and then you looked up from your phone... and, without meaning to, your eyes ended up meeting that same redhead everyone called Colo again.
