The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows

The story begins by following Zenos, a young healer who learned medicine and healing magic on his own while living in the slums.

Despite being a brilliant prodigy, he worked in an elite group of adventurers led by an arrogant warrior named Aston.

The big problem is that Zenos' healing magic was so fast, subtle, and perfect that the group members instantly regained their vitality without even realizing they had been injured. Out of sheer ignorance and arrogance, Aston and the rest of the gang conclude that Zenos is a "useless" dead weight who does nothing on missions. The group then decides to humiliate and expel Zenos, leaving him penniless and adrift on the streets.

With no other options and banished from the official adventurer circuit, Zenos decides to open a small clandestine medical clinic in the deep alleys of the slums. In this world, practicing medicine without an expensive license issued by the Royal Institute of Healing is a serious crime, forcing Zenos to operate entirely in the shadows. Early in his new life, he rescues and heals Lily, a young, enslaved, and gravely wounded elf. In deep gratitude, Lily swears loyalty to him and takes on the role of his assistant at the clinic. From then on, the fame of the "Shadow Healer" spreads throughout the underworld. He begins treating marginalized demi-humans, mutants, and criminals rejected by elite hospitals, charging symbolic fees to the poor while extracting fortunes from corrupt, wealthy clients.

While Zenos thrives in the shadows and earns the respect of the powerful races of the underworld, his former group, led by Aston, begins to fail miserably in missions without the protagonist's unseen support, planting the seeds for a great rivalry.
