She and Rose have been mortal enemies since she nearly killed her master Nero Arjence two years ago, an act for which she has vowed vengeance. He is usually a guard at the castle gate, but also acts as protector of the Rescue Team's Rear Support during battle. Usato personally selects him to join him and the Heroes on King Lloyd's ambassadorial mission, and he accompanies Usato and Amako when their paths diverge from the others after Luqvist.

welcie

Welcie (ウェルシー, Uerushī) Voiced by: Maria Naganawa (Japanese); Jill Harris (English)[4] Possibly the chief mage of Llinger Kingdom and magic instructor to Suzune and Kazuki. She originally studied magic at Luqvist under Headmistress Gladys, and it is assumed that she was the one who performed the Summoning ritual that brought Usato, Suzune and Kazuki to Llinger. Brave and chivalrous, he is acknowledged as the mightiest warrior in Llinger, and along with Rose is one of King Lloyd's closest advisors. While quietly acknowledging the success of Rose's training methods, he is nevertheless exasperated by what he sees as its brutality.

Celia

Princess Celia (セリア, Seria) Voiced by: Reina Ueda (Japanese); Sarah Wiedenheft (English)[4] The daughter of King Lloyd and princess of Llinger Kingdom. She seems to have developed deep feelings for Kazuki (which he originally seems ignorant of, but by the time of leaving to battle the Demon Lord's Army and afterwards seems to reciprocate).

Lloyd

King Lloyd (キング・ロイド, Kingu Roido) Voiced by: Hiroshi Yanaka (Japanese); Jim Jorgenson (English)[4] The monarch of Llinger Kingdom, a wise and kind ruler who is never afraid to make hard decisions when it comes to protecting his kingdom and people (even if he himself feels deep regret), such as Summoning Suzune and Kazuki (and by extension Usato) while knowing that there is currently no way of sending them home again. He also never fails to give honor and respect where it is due, especially to Amako whose prescience enabled Usato to save the heroes and by extension to help win the battle against the Demon Army.

orga

Orga Fleur (オルガ・フルール, Oruga Furūru) Voiced by: Genta Nakamura[4] (Japanese); Landon McDonald (English) A member of the Rescue Team who is part of the Team's "rear support". 23 years old, he runs a clinic in the town with his younger sister Ururu after they were unable to keep up with Rose's training. A 14-year-old fox beastkin who is an Oracle of Time, a person possessing the power of precognition, and believes that Usato has the power to change possible fatal futures. She appeared in the castle town two years ago after leaving the Beastlands in search of a healer to save her mother, as only humans can use healing magic; until she met Usato, she had not found one strong enough or willing to help her. In Llinger, she works as an assistant to an old woman who sells fruit in the town and took her in. As a reward for her prophetic help, King Lloyd agrees to have Usato accompany her back to the Beastlands when he and the Heroes depart on King Lloyd's ambassadorial mission, during which she and Usato develop a close comradeship and trust (she also seems to have picked up from Usato the trick of using a chilling glare to quell others, which he unwittingly picked up from Rose). Blurin is affectionate towards Usato and originally allowed only him to pet him, though he later allows Aruku (anyone else gets their hand forcefully slapped away, as both Inukami and Ururu learned); during their stay in Luqvist, Amako helps look after him, and by Chapter 32 of the manga, he allows her to ride on his back in an emergency. He accompanies Usato when he and the Heroes depart on King Lloyd's ambassadorial mission, and, with his intelligence, speed and strength, proves himself to be a powerful ally in battle despite being

kazuki

Kazuki Ryuusen (龍泉 一樹, Ryuusen Kazuki) is a main character in The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic. He is Usato's classmate and the student council vice-president. As with Suzune, he was summoned to Llinger Kingdom as a hero, and he possesses aptitude for light magic. Though he was very popular among the female students, he worries about his lack of male friends. He seems like a kind person who is quite protective over his friends which is shown during when Ken Usato and Suzune Inukami went missing.

suzune

Suzune Inukami (犬上 鈴音, Inukami Suzune) is one of the protagonists of The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic. She is the student council president, who is admired by all for her excellent grades and athletic ability but also revealed she is an isekai loving otaku. Summoned to the Llinger Kingdom as a hero, she has an aptitude for lightning magic. Though Usato had considered her beyond his reach, she begins to show her true self after being summoned to another world.Suzune is a kindhearted individual. She loves sports. Even though she achieved all kinds of success in her high school life, she still could not make a decision about her future. She was worried about Usato when he was brutally trained by Rose.

Suzune was revealed to be a closet Isekai Manga and Anime loving otaku. She dreamt of being summoned into another world as a hero to fight against the Demon Lord. When she discovers her affinity for lightning magic, she is happy to get lightning from one of her favorite anime "Thunder".

Suzune is somewhat perverted when she checked Usato's chest and thrilled seeing his muscular body. She developed romantic feelings for Usato.

felm

Felm (フェルム, Ferumu), initially known as the Black Knight (黒騎士, Kurokishi) is a character in The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic. She's a member of the Demon King's Army, working under the 3rd Legions' Commander Amila. An invincible dark magic user, she's called the Black Knight because of her appearance. Following her defeat by Ken Usato, she's forcibly recruited by Rose into the Rescue Squad.Felm was initially portrayed as a sadistic individual who tends to become bored with battles because no one could inflict damage on her. But the truth was revealed after she was captured; she was hiding behind a facade because of how lonely she felt towards her fellow comrades in arms. She tends to approach life with a "it is what it is" attitude, quickly adapting to her new life on par with the summoned Otherworlders. At first wary of her new surroundings she quickly opens up to her captors and specifically the healer Usato. She admits she knows nothing of human society and views the majority of demon kind in a negative light because they basically conscripted her against her will at a young age and was constantly looked down upon by the the very military that took her away from her loving parents. Because of this, Felm has trouble regulating her emotions, and quickly becomes a mood-swinging tsundere to try to protect whatever pride she has left. It doesn't help that for the majority of the series. Felm herself has no idea she had in fact experienced "falling in love" and continues to question this new emotion that blossomed since her capture.

rose

Rose (ローズ, Roozu) is a main character in The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic. She is the leader of the Llinger Kingdom Rescue Squad. Although she uses healing magic, she is also a highly capable fighter Rose used to be a captain of the Order of the Knights but resigned after losing her dearest subordinates as well as her right eye. She forced Usato, who can use healing magic, into joining the Rescue Squad and trained him to be her right-hand man.Rose in her past was a strong willed and strong headed individual who took large amounts of pride in turning her healing magically affinity into physical force and increasing her physical powers to monstrous heights. Then recently promoted as a Knight captain and believing in the fact that she and those under her command would become unstoppable came crashing down as her entire unit lost their lives to her believing her unhealthy beliefs in overcoming any adversity. She also experienced the way wounded soldiers were treated and on top of questioning her self worth and role in the military realized after ruminating for months that she would make up for her past transgressions and move forward to honor the unit she lost and save lives that could be saved on the battlefield, single handily reducing casualties before forming a Rescue Squad to show it's viabilities to the knights. Because of this; Rose is very brutal and aggressive when she trains healers in such training regiments; she's viewed with misunderstanding and fear by those who do not personally know her. Whenever she hears the magic color green, she will instantly take the healers to join her squad and nobody is able to stop her. She is extremely harsh, which stems from her losing her previous knight squad. Because of her previous experience, she swore to create a subordinate who won't die, much to the displeasure of Ken Usato, the recipient of her training regiment. Very few know the true reason behind her sudden shift to non-combatant duties and those that do support

usato

Ken Usato (兎里 健, Usato Ken) is the main protagonist in The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic. He is a regular high schooler who yearns for something special. While returning from school with Suzune and Kazuki, the three were summoned to Llinger Kingdom. When his aptitude for healing magic was discovered, he was taken to join the Rescue Squad led by Rose. Through hellish training, he became proficient in healing magic and vastly improved his physique.Personality Usato has a headstrong and indomitable will. But also an extremely kind heart. He has an intense hatred for losing, despite not being an athlete, something that has caused him issues forming meaningful relationships outside of his family when he was younger. He tends to pick up bad habits and personality quirks of those he has a rivalry with much to the oblivious Usato himself. He speaks his mind without being polite when he is stressed out and it has caused him to be labeled as stupidly brave. He also dislikes teasing and being told to his face that he is not human, not because he his race is being called into question but his outrageous strength which was painstakingly thrust into him with a combination of his own indomitable will and hating to lose to prove his self appointed "Sensei" wrong and to make her sorry for all the hellish training he views as down right abuse. Though he also holds a certain reverence for Rose for her training, he has also become downright angry about being label as a non-human or monstrous by others because of her training, not realizing he had picked up her personality quirks and habits which also enforces his often intimidating introduction to a new character. Because of this, Usato can be seen in the same chapter as someone extremely weak looking one minute, and utterly terrifying and questioning his humanity the next. His will to never give up and placing his absolute trust in those he labels as friends has won him many long-lasting friendships and a few romantic feelings.

They also learn that only Inukami and Kazuki were meant to be summoned, and that Usato was summoned by accident. When they are tested to determine what magical powers they possess, Usato discovers that he is able to use healing magic, which is rare, but considered to be weak and almost useless compared to other forms of magic. As the battle approaches, Usato is determined to save as many people as possible and prove that healing magic is not to be underestimated, the Rescue Team is a brutal, unorthodox training method led by Rose that pushes trainees to their physical limits, healing all damage, and then immediately repeating the process to achieve superhuman strength, stamina, and battlefield endurance. This method creates powerful healers who can withstand and heal themselves on any battlefield, allowing them to save more people without getting hurt, there r some who can't use healing magic like Alec Gomul Gurd Mill Tong Orga Fleur and Ururu Fleur can use healing magic but they can't use it like rose or usato
