L has quite a few quirks (presumably traits of Asperger's syndrome). For example, he prefers to sit with his legs tucked under him, even on chairs and armchairs (he even sleeps like this, with his knees pulled up to his chin). However, there is an explanation for this. He claims that when he sits normally, his ability to reason drops by 40%. He enjoys sweet and unusual food combinations, such as meat and melon. He holds objects with his index finger and thumb, while raising his hand upward. It's also interesting that in the manga, L sits in a meditative pose while thinking. While thinking, L also often rearranges objects or arranges food in certain ways. At the same time, Lowlight's habits are considered inappropriate and rude, namely: biting nails, slouching in his walk and while sitting, sitting on furniture with his feet (pulling his knees up to his chin), chewing and talking with his mouth open, and expressing his personal observations that may be offensive to the object of conversation.

L Lawliet has a strong aversion to losing, being wrong, and being unable to reach a logical conclusion.
