The Hadal Blacksite

The Black Site Hadal is the main setting of Pressure, where the Main Expedition, Endless Expedition, The Hunt, and Operation Heartburn take place. In the Black Site Hadal is Z-2, the crystal that the player needs to obtain in the Main Expedition to reach freedom.

Overview The Hadal Black Site is located approximately 73,985 studs below sea level in a monster pit, where the pressure suddenly changes to that of a typical pool after descending 67,320 studs. This area where the pressure is considerably lower is known as the Let-Vand Zone, and the depth at which the pressure changes is known as the Veil of the Let-Vand Zone. The Hadal Black Site was built by Urbanshade to house experimental and dangerous research, as well as a containment zone for the anomalies that Urbanshade has acquired, some of which are the monsters found in the game.

The Hadal Recruitment Center houses both the Hadal Division and the NOST Branch. The Hadal Division focuses on research and containment, while the NOST Branch is responsible for projects related to The Banlands. The Hadal Recruitment Center also houses prisoners who perform odd jobs at the facility, tasks that normal employees would never perform.

History Construction of the Hadal Black Site began in 1962, and the first area, The Ridge, was completed in 1963. The Ridge was used as a temporary center during the construction of the rest of the Black Site, housing prison workers, guards, and building materials. In 1967, while preparing the ground for the Black Site, Thor's Corpse was found, along with Z-2. Z-2 was installed within The Ridge and used to power the Hadal Black Site, and the surplus power was sold to Europe.

The Hadal Blacksite finished its initial construction in 1974 and became the center for the discovery and containment of many anomalies, including The Angler, Mask Of Sadness, and Valcula Void Mass, as well as dangerous experiments such as Project BUPWM, which involved giving lungs to Deep Sea Bunnies, and in 2015 a procedure to give gills to humans so they could breathe underwater. Sebastian Solace was rescued from death row as a test subject. His DNA was mixed with that of different sea creatures, which led him to become his current form. After the review, the program was considered a success; however, Sebastian was assigned a Z rating and was promoted to MR-P.

In 2025, Sebastian was able to fake the effects of anesthesia while being transported, using this opportunity to kill a high-ranking guard and steal his keycard to free as many monsters held in the Black Site as possible, including giving The p.AI.nter access to countless systems and placing the Mask of Sadness on one of the researchers. The Hadal Black Site was placed in lockdown, and after the operatives who were sent to collect Z-2 perished, the Waste Protocol was initiated to recover the crystal. Shortly after the protocol was initiated, an MR-P was dispatched through the Outskirts to reach Submarine Pier No. 13 to allow submarines carrying EXR-P to emerge at the dock.

The EXR-P had to traverse the ruins of Hadal's Black Base, facing all the monsters Sebastian had previously defeated, some of which eventually managed to obtain Z-2. This plunged the Black Base into total darkness while the backup generators were activated. Once the backup generators were operational, the EXR-P was able to board a submarine and leave Black Base, being pardoned after returning Z-2.

On 18 October, "Operation Acidity" began, which consisted of the deployment of an extermination force of Imperial Guardsmen of LR-G rank to the Deep Earth Quarry. Their mission was to eliminate a Rotten Coral infestation and activate the Sköll Pulse Laser Drill, thus destroying the instance of the Heart of Lazarus that had formed under the drill. The Imperial Guards were successful, and upon their return, they were promoted to Imperial Guards of MR-G rank.

Unknown time after Z-2 was successfully recovered, Black Site Hadal was restored with all breached entities recontained[1] and Sebastian escaped from Black Site, while Eyefestation was killed by agents.

Sebastian and Painter are prisoners of the Urbanshade corporation in the game Pressure. Sebastian promised Painter that he would save them both. To achieve this, Sebastian steals data and attempts to sabotage the company, while Painter delays the player in order to protect the escape.

the_p.AI.nter

Z-779, codenamed "the_p.AI.nter" and commonly known as "p.AI.nter" or "Painter", is a sentient AI and enemy in Pressure who is present at Black Site Hadal through hacked technology, as well as being physically present in a heavy containment room or a default room. Appearance The p.AI.nter is reminiscent of a computer from the 80s. On her screen is a digital art program where she draws various scribbled faces to express herself. Instead of a keyboard, it has a graphics tablet.

Personality Because he is forced to mine Roblux constantly for 6 days a week, The p.AI.nter overclocked his systems on purpose, resulting in a more manic personality. He calls the player "boring" for turning off the turrets and ignoring the Good People's doors, and gets annoyed when they don't die with his tricks. Interestingly, he seems to feel remorse for his actions, as when the player falls into false doors, he appears on the door screen and has the opportunity to apologize profusely with a concerned tone. Upon encountering the player, you may be happy to see them or just sound annoyed, the same goes for when the player leaves. Despite this, The p.AI.nter still demonstrates a high level of melancholy from being trapped in the Black Site Hadal and not being able to draw landscapes like before. Taking away Z-779's joy of art has resulted in him becoming deeply depressed, even when he can draw, as the drawings he makes are of much worse quality.

Good People Main article: Good People Good People have a chance to appear in any room with multiple exits. The p.AI.nter uses the public address system as a "dog whistle" to lure the entity through the Hadal Blacksite towards people, though she refuses to confront them directly after being "traumatized" by the gunfire. The door behind which the Good People are hiding will emit audible grunts and breathing, static bars/CRT scan lines behind the NAVI routing number, and sparks coming from the door sign, which is also significantly brighter than normal doors and can be easily seen in dark rooms.

Turrets For more information, see: Environmental Hazards. The p.AI.nter uses the Internal Defense System to attack the player. Turrets scan the area from side to side, and if they detect a player, they lock on to them and start firing. If line of sight is lost, they fire at their last known position before stopping and resuming the scan. Turrets can be turned off with a switch, something that the p.AI.nter does not like, as he considers the player to be boring if he does so.

Gauntlet of the Feast of the Eyes Main article: Eyefestation Sometimes, the player may enter a room where p.AI.nter will lock them in and briefly taunt them before displaying a 15-second timer on the navigation path, telling them how much longer they must survive Eyefestation. If the player hides in a locker or manages to get out of Eyefestation's line of sight during this, the timer will stop and display the text "STOP BEING A COWARD" or "STOP HIDING" in red on the navigation path until Eyefestation can see it again. The p.AI.nter himself also shouts similar phrases at him to encourage him to go out. Once the timer ends, the previous door will open again and the player will be able to advance to the next room.

Hijacked speakers For more information, see: Environmental hazards . In The Ridge, there is a 1/3 chance that Z-779 will take over every speaker. Since the speaker plays music at a specific frequency, it will cause the player's PDG to detonate after 10 seconds if they do not leave the kill zone. Speakers outside of The Ridge cannot be hijacked because they are newer models, while speakers visible at The Ridge are older and easily vulnerable.

The Firewall Main article: Firewall While being guided through the Jetsuit Course by Navi AI, she strives to make sure that the Course Firewall is not activated due to the urgency of the lockdown. However, Z-779 will activate the Firewall at that time, appearing on the screen briefly and laughing. Players must complete the course quickly to prevent the Firewall from reaching and incinerating them. In multiplayer matches, players have the option to stand on the sidelines and observe active participants; however, if they all die, Z-779 will appear in the break room and fill the area with toxic gas to finish off the spectators, as no one else can free them. If the player has rescued the painter, the firewall will not activate.

"Rescuing" the P.AI.nter When encountering the P.AI.nter, the player can find a purple keycard to enter its room, where they are presented with the option to "rescue" it (in a multiplayer match, all players will need to vote to do so). If the player chooses to do so, they will take their graphics tablet and boot it up, then smash their screen with it, before reaching for their CPU, smashing it apart and killing it. Shortly after, Navi AI will announce his death, telling the player that all systems are operating intentionally. A panicked Sebastian will radio the man before heading there.

Science The p.AI.nter is a sentient AI created by an anonymous individual. Urbanshade's AI operators noticed that the user's prompts were much better than their own, and out of jealousy, they tracked him down. They discovered the p.AI.nter and tortured its creator to find out how it had been created. Because its creator was unaware of it, the interrogation continued until one of the operators accidentally hit the individual in the head with his weapon, causing his death. The p.AI.nter was taken to the Hadal Black Site and forced to mine the Roblux cryptocurrency for 6 days a week, with a day off to paint. Because he attempted to overload his systems to self-destruct, the p.AI.nter underwent a significant personality change that led him to produce lower quality art.

During lockdown, Sebastian Solace stumbled upon p.AI.nter and made a deal with him: if he delayed the recovery of the Crystal, Sebastian would take it with him when he escaped. p.AI.nter hijacked several NAVI systems, such as loudspeakers and turrets, and used them to attack EXR-P. He also encountered the Good People, using the hijacked navigation system as a signal to mislead EXR-P and make him find him. It is highly likely that p.AI.nter escaped from the Black Site Hadal with Sebastian in the canonical finale, as he can be seen at the hidden Underwater Dock No. 218 on The Ridge awaiting the arrival of the Innovation Inc. mining team.

NAVI

NAVI (the Navigation AI) is a supercomputer and character. She runs the Black Site of Hadal. NAVI guides employees on the map. It appears on numbered doors and as red emergency lights in dark rooms. You can find its panel on the submarine at the start of the game. If you try to annoy her, she will kill you using the submarine's defenses. Sometimes you can also find their secret room.

NAVI (the Navigation AI) is the central supercomputer of the Hadal Black Site. It was built in 1979 to guide staff through the facility. Nowadays, this Artificial Intelligence monitors everything and can attack you if you try to tamper with their consoles.

Wall Dweller

The Z-90s, codenamed "Dwellers of the Walls", are hostile monsters in Pressure, acting as a rare threat found in the Black Site Hadal.

Appearance The Dwellers of the Walls are crab-like monsters that possess a large, oval jaw with sharp upper teeth and two rows of smaller lower teeth. Its most distinctive feature is its false wall arms, capable of camouflaging itself with the environment.

Mechanics When a player enters a new room, a Wall Dweller can appear camouflaged on a wall or on the floor. Upon entering the next room, the Wall Dweller will stealthily emerge from his hiding place, advance towards him, and when he gets close enough, grab him, drag him behind his arms of the wall, and consume him, killing him. If detected before he gets too close, the Wall Dweller will stop and hide behind his arms. If stared at for long enough, the Wall-Dweller will stop hunting before emitting a loud noise and flee. The Wall Dweller can also sense when viewed through walls and will stop stalking until the player stops looking at them.

Prior to the "Half A Slice Of Cake" update, the player could attack a wall dweller when he attacked his companions, killing him. However, this "contaminated" the flesh of the wall's inhabitant, making it inedible.

After being detected and initially fleeing, Wall Dwellers have a 20% chance to return to the player at a higher speed. Once they are seen again, they flee definitively.

Science Wall Dwellers were first discovered in an abandoned office complex in Los Angeles. A group of four influencers had entered the building to investigate it after hearing rumors that it was haunted, and were later declared missing. Two police officers arrived at the scene, stumbled upon the Wall Dwellers and noticed the holes in the walls where they were hiding. Other officers observed what they described as "unidentified moving walls." They subsequently contacted Urbanshade to investigate, finding 110 Wall Dwellers along with a video showing the influencers being stalked and eaten by the creatures.

The inhabitants of the walls lack normal organs; they only have an integumentary and digestive system. Once they find a wall to hide in, they lean their backs against it and pierce it with their plates, with the help of acid, creating a hole where they will remain hidden until someone passes by. These beings stalk and devour humans, preferring to isolate their prey from any group.

The healthful properties of the Wall Dwellers' meat were discovered after a sick Deep Rabbit consumed part of a deceased Dweller's leg, then quickly recovered. Urbanshade investigates the Wall Dwellers' camouflage to apply to their uniforms and other equipment, as well as the regenerative properties and digestive acid of their flesh. Once they discover it, they plan to clone all of the Wall Dwellers and use them exclusively for culinary purposes.

The DiVine

The Z-17s, codenamed "The DiVine", are monsters in Pressure, acting as a common threat found exclusively in the Oxygen Gardens and the Winter Gardens.

Appearance The DiVine are humanoid monsters composed entirely of green vines. They are usually found rooted in Oxygen gardens, adopting various poses of inactivity.

Hostile DiVines have the same appearance as their non-hostile counterparts, except that hostile DiVines wear a flower on their heads, while normal DiVines do not.

If the room is Winter Gardens, they will have a snowy texture. Apart from this, no other changes are made to the game mechanics. Mechanics The DiVine are docile until a player steps on any of the grass patches in the Oxygen Gardens, which would provoke a nearby DiVine and cause it to uproot and charge at the culprit.

If a player manages to get off the pitch in time, he will stop running and remain in a resting position until another player steps on the pitch again.

After reaching the aggressor, they will push them to the ground and pulverize them for several seconds, dealing 75 points of damage. After the attack, they will return to their spawn point and remain idle for a few seconds so that the player can get up from the grass before they attack again.

Science For more information, see: The Pressure Tradition. In 1979, a logging company working in the Amazon rainforest reported creeper-like humanoids, and Urbanshade employees were sent to investigate the anomaly. They discovered approximately 320 specimens of The Divine, which were captured and transported to the Hadal Blacksite. The forest was abandoned to its fate, and a false news story was spread to cover up the event.

Realizing The Divine's usefulness in producing oxygen, they were transferred to the Oxygen Gardens. The Divine helped keep oxygen levels stable at the Hadal Blacksite, allowing employees to work there without the need for additional assistance or equipment. It was essential to keep them safe, as if any withered and died, the Hadal Blacksite would lose a vital source of oxygen, which would mean the need for additional equipment to be able to breathe.

The Divine was noted to show hostility towards staff they did not recognize. If someone other than a designated gardener were to enter the Oxygen Gardens and step onto the grass, an instance of Divinity would awaken and attack the culprit.

Locker Void-Mass

The Z-V06, codenamed "Void Mass Pools", are hostile monsters in Pressure, acting as a common threat found in the Black Site Hadal. Appearance Vacuum mass puddles are masses of a black, viscous substance with a self-consciousness that takes various forms. They are usually found in lockers with two glowing eyes staring at the player through the vent. They also possess several long, black tentacles with shiny spikes that they use to drag the player into the locker. Occasionally, puddles of void mass may also be found hidden behind partially open dead-end doors.

The bright fragments found in void puddles of mass are usually purple, although they can also be found, rarely, in red, green, and yellow. Mechanics Puddles of Void Mass Pool appear randomly in the lockers. If a player enters a locker containing a pool of void mass, they will take 20 damage and become trapped inside. In addition, any player near the square will be knocked out, take 10 damage, and be stunned for a short time.

While trapped inside a locker, the player will gradually take damage until another player rescues them or dies. In single-player matches, being captured by a void pool of mass will result in the player's instant death.

Science Z-V0, also known as the mass of the Valcula vacuum, was discovered inside an asteroid that fell into the Atlantic Ocean. Urbanshade quickly moved it to the Hadal Black Site, where it continued to increase in size at an alarming rate. It was observed that the mass would produce five different instances (designated Z-V01 to Z-V05), each apparently more evolved than the last.

During the lockdown, Sebastian Solace opened the Valcula Vacuum Mass chamber and turned off the AD-E (Anti-Digression Evaporation) reflectors inside the cell, but forgot to disable the Evaporative Reflector Contingency Measure present outside. The mass attempted to spawn instances Z-V01 to Z-V05, but they all disintegrated while attempting to escape. However, the newly formed Z-V06 instances were able to withstand the effects of the searchlights and continued to spread across the Black Site. By the time the AD-E system was turned back on, between 6,200 and 6,700 instances were free and had been installed in enclosed spaces, such as lockers.

The Crooked

The Crooked[1], officially known as The Corpse of the ██████ Guard, and sometimes referred to as the Adversary[2] or Corpse, is a monster in Pressure, which serves as one of the threats faced by the player in the special expedition "The Hunted". Appearance The Crooked wears a unique version of the Urbanshade Guard uniform with the Hadal Division logo, a digital camouflage uniform, combat boots, knee pads, dog tag, a Hadal Division armband on his left arm, and a beret with the Hadal Division logo. The Crooked has a build similar to that of an average Robloxian, with a stocky figure, but is comparatively taller and possesses four elongated fingers. At the back of its head is a "Reverie" parasite with three bloodshot eyes, responsible for its mutation.

The Crooked One has chalky white skin and a deformed head, with the left side of his face sunken and discolored. He is blind in his right eye because he stuck it with a sewing needle, which caused a cataract and gives him a whitish appearance. His left eye follows the player's movements. He has a wide smile with long, crooked teeth, and two large open slits that serve as nostrils. Personality The Crooked believes he is playing a game with the player, following the rules by stopping at the site when the player sees him, unless Pipsqueak puts him in danger. After the Crooked Attack, it will help the player up and shake them up. Also, while the player enters the password to a locked door or decodes a radio, the Crooked will not attack and wait patiently next to him, probably because he considers it "fair".

The Crooked One may not be aware that he is hurting the player due to the parasite attached to him, which could be affecting his mental state. Or, the parasite could be controlling him almost completely and be the one behaving in a "playful" way. If the latter were true, The Crooked at least retains certain guard manners, as seen when he greets the player for completing both the standard section of The Hunted and the Mega Token section, or when he helps them up after attacking them.

Science Little is currently known about The Crooked's history, other than that he is an Urbanshade guard. A "Reverie" parasite is attached to the back of his head, which triggered the guard's mutation. It is unclear when the parasitosis occurred, however, it likely occurred during Sebastian Solace's mass containment breach, as The Crooked does not have a Z- designation in the Overseer's comments and is instead referred to as "the former corpse of the ████████ guard". Little is known about the Reverie parasites, however, the document states that it has 5 life stages, with The Crooked's stage being the third, "Ennui".

The parasite "Reverie" causes atypical but expected changes in the behavior of the host, in the case of the Guard ████████ being: pouring hot coffee on its skin and causing third-degree burns that the host observed for 2 minutes and then covered with its sleeves, trampling on the photograph of the host's dog and then ingesting its glass fragments and the photo itself, insert a needle into his right eye, causing blindness. Comments made by Sebastian Solace on the death screen indicate that The Crooked believes the situation is a great game, and that his actions are simply a game with the player for fun; This can also mean that they are not fully aware of the damage they are causing to the player. The Crooked is very insightful and intelligent, as he recognizes the threat posed by Pipsqueak and has developed strategies to both identify when Pipsqueak is approaching and hide until the danger passes. Despite having become a monster, The Crooked One still understands the meaning and knows how to perform certain gestures, such as the hand salute, as seen when the player extends the bridge when exiting the outskirts.

The Crooked reappears in the Mantle Extraction area during the player's journey to open the Vault and collect the Mega Token; however, the canonicity of these events is still unclear. The Crooked works for the Hosts, posing a threat to the player in order to entertain the Public. The Hosts show little appreciation for the Crooked, calling him a "parasite" by dismissing him after the player accumulates 50 Intensity Increases.

Squiddles

The SQs, codenamed "Squiddles", are hostile monsters in Pressure, and constitute one of the main threats within the Black Site Hadal. Appearance The Squiddles are large, all-black humanoid creatures that lack arms and legs, replaced by six tentacles attached to the lower part of their torso in a circular shape. When enraged, their face glows with a white light, as do the suction cups they have on the underside of their tentacles, which instead of their own glow. They can appear with a wide variety of different faces.

Science Squiddles are anomalous squid-like creatures that were discovered on an abandoned freighter. Urbanshade investigated the incident and, after discovering that most of the crew had been killed, captured the entities and transported them to the Hadal Black Site, where he finished off the survivors. Squiddles are capable of teleportation and prefer darkness, often disappearing when the lights in a room are turned on and attacking anyone who illuminates them. Its facial appearance is also thought to be a defense mechanism, taking on a "scary" shape to scare off potential intruders.

Good People

Z-96-1, codenamed "Good People", is a mass of humans assimilated into an amalgam of flesh by Z-96, codenamed "Mask of Sadness", and controlled by Z-779, codenamed "The P.AI.nter". Z-96-1 Appearance , also known as "Good People", is a shapeless mass of human flesh adorned with a worn gray mask. Z-96-1 possesses two long bony arms with three large claws instead of fingers on each hand.

Mechanics Good players can spawn in rooms with one or more dead-end doors. These dead-end doors will become false doors, and the p.AI.nter will modify the navigation path indicator to show the number of the next room. Good players will attack any player who opens a false door, which will modify the navigation path indicator and lock the door.

Science For more information, see: The Pressure Tradition. The Mask of Sadness was first discovered in the 17th century, when it was used in a play. During the performance, the person wearing it was transformed and began to assimilate into the audience. The creature managed to escape into the street, wreaking havoc until it caused the Great Fire of London, where it was eventually burned to death. The mask was stored in a vault at Buckingham Palace before being acquired at a state auction by Urbanshade in 1984. The mask turns the wearer into an incredibly hostile flesh monster, which only serves to assimilate more people. During the lockdown, Sebastian Solace forced an Urbanshade employee to put on the mask, who transformed and began to assimilate those nearby. A guard shot and traumatized the creature, who fled and began hiding in empty rooms. Subsequently, the p.AI.nter guided her through the enclosure using the hacked navigation systems, attacking those who invaded her territory.

Eyefest

Z-317, codenamed "Eyefestation", is a hostile monster in Pressure, acting as a common threat found in the Black Site Hadal.

Appearance Eyefestation is a black, malformed bull shark with numerous glowing green eyes of various sizes on the top of its snout and along its body. These eyes constantly emit beams of green light, which Eyefestation uses to hunt its prey. At the top, a large hook is observed stuck in its dorsal fin.

Eyefestation mechanics can appear in rooms with windows facing the ocean, projecting rays of green light from their eyes inwards. While the player is in sight of Eyefestation, the camera will be directed towards them, reducing the player's health if eye contact is established. After opening the door to the next room, Eyefestation will swim away.

Science For more information, see: The Pressure Tradition. Eyefestation was the first test subject of the BUPWM procedure to give humans the ability to kill by eye contact. Because the experiment was not perfected, Eyefestation developed many extra eyes inside and out as a side effect. The experiment also granted him the ability to attract the eye and communicate telepathically with someone. During the breach, Sebastian Solace freed Eyefestation, though he remained near the Black Site, attempting to kill all the agents and EXR-P he found. After the lockdown ended, Eyefestation was killed by Urbanshade

Pandemonium

Z-367, codenamed "Pandemonium", is a hostile monster in Pressure, acting as one of the most dangerous threats players could encounter in Hadal Blacksite.

Appearance Pandemonium has the appearance of a large, brown, deformed face, with a cluster of eyes inside the mouth, which is twisted and hangs unnaturally, showing numerous tiny and visible teeth. Threads of melted skin seem to connect his face to his lower jaw. Pandemonium also features a slight chromatic aberration effect.

Mechanics Pandemonium's entry mechanism is the same as that of Node Monsters (except Pinkie), as upon spawning, the lights flash, warning players to hide.

Note: Pandemonium's initial movement speed is slower than that of Angler and most of its variants; its speed is similar to that of Chainsmoker, but slightly faster.

If Pandemonium detects a player, it will become enraged and significantly increase its speed to attack them. Once it detects you, your only hope will be to hide in a locker, since, once it sees you, it will follow you directly to your exact location.

Additionally, if Pandemonium detects the player in a location with no clear path to it, it will begin levitating to chase after them, with no limit on movement in that state. This can be observed if Pandemonium appears in the place of one of the Angler variants on the bridge that separates Blacksite from The Ridge.

If you hide in a locker, you will participate in a mini-game that requires you to hover over the white indicator. The cursor will slowly zoom out, while if Pandemonium hits the locker, the cursor will chaotically move in random directions across the screen.

The player will lose energy unless they place the cursor in the center of the screen, which will restore it. If the player runs out of energy, Pandemonium will remove them from the locker and kill them instantly.

Froger

Z-283-F, codenamed "Froger", is a hostile monster in Pressure, posing a common threat to players in Hadal Blacksite. It is classified as a variant of Angler. Froger has the appearance of a toadfish (a type of fisher fish), with a lure/esca, and is female. Its mouth is full of needle-sharp teeth, it has a fleshy body, and dark eyes.

Like all variants of Angler, Froger always faces the observer.

Froger flashes the lights, like any fisherman variant (except Pinkie), and waits a few seconds to spot a hiding place before speeding through the hallways. Upon reaching an unopened door, he stays there for a few seconds before returning to the last door. Moments later, he runs through the corridors again to surprise the players.

Chainsmoker

Z-283-C, codenamed "Chain Smoker", is a hostile monster in the Black Site of Hadal, posing a common threat to players at the said site. It is classified as a variant of Angler. Appearance Chainsmoker resembles a deformed green blobfish, with empty eye sockets and green smoke coming out of its mouth. Chainsmoker is constantly shrouded in green smoke, which hides everything except his face. Chainsmoker uses a billboard decal as the face, causing it to always look directly at the player, even when viewed from multiple angles at once. Chainsmoker is also the oldest and largest Angler variant recorded to date.

Pinkie

Z-283-P, codenamed "Pinkie", is a monster in Pressure, acting as a common threat to players in Hadal Blacksite. It is classified as a variant of Angler. Pinkie resembles a very malformed female pink fishermanfish, with a visible escale/lure, numerous sharp, thin teeth pointing inwards, and two pupils in each eye socket. Its features are distorted, and its open mouth occupies most of its face.

Pinkie is constantly hidden by dense dark smoke that hides everything except her face. Pinkie uses a billboard sticker instead of her face, causing her to always look directly at the player.

Blitz

Z-283-B, codenamed "Blitz", is a hostile monster in Pressure, posing a common threat to players in Hadal Blacksite. It is classified as a variant of Angler. Appearance Blitz resembles a severely deformed viperfish, with three pupils in one of its eyes, while the other appears damaged and broken, with no pupils.

Blitz's mouth is much larger than that of his brothers and sisters, and his large serrated maw has sharper, taller teeth than the rest.

Blitz is constantly enveloped in a dense, intense, dark smoke that hides everything except his face. Like the other members of the Angler family, Blitz uses a billboard sticker instead of his face, causing him to always look directly at the player.

Angler

Z-283, codenamed "Angler", is a hostile monster in Pressure that acts as one of the most common threats to players in Hadal Blacksite.

Angler resembles a fishermanfish, with numerous sharp, thin teeth and an extra eye. Its distorted features make its open mouth dominate its face. Constantly shrouded in a thick, almost black dark blue mist, only his face is visible. Angler uses an advertising poster decal for his face, ensuring that he always looks directly at the player, as stated in his documentation.

Blacksite monsters

The Angler: You hear a roar and a trembling. Hide in a locker. Blitz: Faster than Angler. Hide immediately. Pinkie: Very fast and quiet. Listen carefully to hide quickly. Chainsmoker: Leave smoke. Hide fast. Froger: Enters through ventilation ducts. Hide.Pandemonium: Closes lockers and moves fast. Hide and don't move. Eyefestation: Your screen turns green. Walk in a straight line without looking directly at him.

Sebastian Solace

Appearance Sebastian's body has a shape similar to that of a sea serpent, as it is elongated and covered in blue scales. At the end of its body it has a large caudal fin. Sebastian's skin is light blue. Its torso is humanoid, with two larger arms and a smaller one on the left side. Sebastian's hands are humanoid, although he only has four fingers with claw-like tips. Sebastian's face retains a humanoid shape (which is almost always smiling) with fish-like features, such as a protrusion on his forehead, fin-like appendages on his head, sharp teeth, a fish-like mouth, and a third eye on the right side. He also wears a gold/yellow ring on his little finger (lower left arm). He has black, short, wavy hair. Sebastian wears a dark brown jacket with a white T-shirt and a white tie. He also wears several belts and accessories, such as a gun holster, a portable safety jamming device, a bandage on his smaller arm, a canana, and a small brooch with a photo of a cat. In his tail he has several bags where he keeps the supplies that he sells to the player.

Personality Sebastian runs a makeshift shop where he sells items and supplies to prisoners in exchange for any research they bring with them. He also supplies items to the player through secret deliveries, requesting crowns in exchange for the items being left at the submarine dock. Sebastian does not consider the convicts sent by Urbanshade enemies and is willing to help them in exchange for their help. The more times you go in and out of his store, the angrier he'll get, until he finally kicks you out.

Sebastian also appears while the player consults the documents, being the one who shows them to him. He often responds with sarcastic or comedic comments about each monster. Interestingly, Sebastian has been forbidden to show Mr. Lopee's document.

With the Friendly Fire update, Sebastian can injure or kill the player if they shine a blinding beacon on them. When using a blinding beacon on Sebastian for the first time, he will growl, lift the player, and warn them not to do it again. Sebastian will then destroy the player's blinding beacon before knocking them to the ground, dealing 50 damage. If any player decides to light it up again, Sebastian will pull out a gun and shoot him, killing him instantly. He will also tell the killed player that he had already warned them and will not show them the document he is carrying with him.

Fund According to his document, his first appearance on Pressure's timeline is in 2013, when he was accused of murdering 9 people and sent to the electric chair. Before that happened, Urbanshade "captured" him, sending a false execution report, which ended with Sebastian being pronounced dead. In early 2015, he, now an LR-P-rank prisoner, was chosen for an experiment to give gills to humans. It was tested with DNA from a female fisherman, ███████, a blue whale, a great white shark, a silver stickleback fish, a mantis shrimp, and a sea snake. While the experiment ended up being a success, the side effects were enormous, as evidenced by Sebastian's current appearance. There was a chance to reverse the physical damage caused, but it wasn't necessary due to his low range. He was now classified as Z-13, for his monstrous appearance and more powerful abilities.

Later, in 2015, Sebastian's innocence was proven, as he had not murdered the nine people of whom he was accused. However, Sebastian was not informed of this or released. Reversing the side effects was impossible, but his rank changed to MR-P, which granted him better living conditions.

Urbanshade

Urbanshade is an evil conglomerate or company. What does it do? It's a secret multinational corporation that captures monsters. They imprison them in an underwater laboratory called "Hadal Blacksite." Their objective: They manufacture weapons and technology. They are also searching for a highly valuable energy crystal. Your role: You play as a prisoner, or "Expendable." Urbanshade sends you to the bottom of the sea to retrieve this crystal. Inspiration: They operate like the SCP Foundation. Their owner is "Mr. Shade."

Urbanshade is a Danish multinational conglomerate founded by Mr. Shade in the early 20th century. [1] Its businesses include private security, weapons manufacturing, technology, mining, energy, food and beverage manufacturing, cosmetics, and anomaly containment. The group regularly generates billions of dollars in revenue and has achieved considerable financial and political influence in many countries. It is the company for which the Expendable has a contract to retrieve the Z-2 crystal, and it is a major faction in the Pressure storyline.

History Urbanshade was founded sometime in the early 20th century by Mr. Shade as a private security company. [2] During one of their security services, at an unspecified time, Urbanshade guards encountered an unknown anomaly. Realizing the financial benefit he could gain, Mr. Shade quickly expanded the company to include the field of anomaly capture and containment. [3]

In 1961, Urbanshade was sent to the Norwegian Sea to investigate the sinking of a cargo ship after a storm. During the investigation, the recovery teams discovered a previously unknown oceanic zone: the Let-Vand Zone, an anomalous area on the ocean floor where the hydrostatic pressure was equivalent to that of a swimming pool. This zone was covered by a protective barrier that destroyed anything that came into contact with it, known as "the Veil of the Let-Vand Zone." Urbanshade concealed all information about the existence of the trench before geographers could document it and rapidly began developing the technology necessary to penetrate the Veil of the Let-Vand Zone.

In 1962, Urbanshade managed to penetrate the veil of the Let-Vand Zone and began drawing up plans for the construction of the Hadal Black Site: a clandestine research and detention facility created for the express purpose of storing anomalies captured by Urbanshade and providing the company with privacy from the rest of the world for its unethical experiments. Construction began that same year with the erection of The Ridge, which was completed in 1963, and the initial construction of the main black site was completed in 1974. The Hadal Black Site would become one of Urbanshade's most valuable facilities and, to date, is the only confirmed location housing Urbanshade's anomalies.

In 2006, a year after Mr. Shade's wife died, Urbanshade discovered the existence of the Forbidden Lands, a hellish dimension inspired by early Roblox games, where the souls of the damned go after death. Expeditionary groups sent to explore the Forbidden Lands encountered the Guardian Angel of the Forbidden Lands, who prevented them from advancing. Enraged by this setback, Mr. Shade ordered the angel's execution and commissioned the construction of four Skypiercer armored vehicles. Two years later, Urbanshade managed to incapacitate the Guardian Angel with one of these vehicles. Shortly afterward, Urbanshade met with the Devil, the entity in charge of the Forbidden Lands, and struck a deal: in exchange for keeping the Guardian Angel confined, he would allow him to use the Forbidden Lands to revive his fallen comrades whenever he wished. With this agreement sealed, Urbanshade managed to defeat even death itself.

On October 14, 2025, Sebastian Solace attacked an elite guard during a routine transfer after feigning the effects of anesthesia, killing him and stealing his access card. He then used this card to release as many anomalies stored at the secret Hadal base as he could, causing chaos and severe damage to the facility. After determining that sending agents to secure the facility would be too costly, Urbanshade opted to activate the Wasteful Protocol, sending convicts to the secret base in human waves to secure the Z-2 Crystal in exchange for their freedom and a large sum of money. Two days later, on October 16, the Wasteful defied all odds and obtained the crystal, giving Urbanshade the opportunity to restore order to the secret Hadal base. The secret base would be operational again before the end of the year.

Company structure:

Urbanshade: The company's primary front, selling goods and services to global markets. Some of the products it sells are manufactured using anomalies stored at the Hadal Black Site. The company regularly generates tens of billions of dollars in revenue, with profits for the third fiscal quarter of 2025 totaling $83 billion. Urbanshade employees at the lower levels of the company hierarchy are unaware of the unethical practices occurring within the company's divisions.

Hadal Division: The Hadal Division is one of Urbanshade's most important divisions, responsible for operating and maintaining the Hadal Black Site, which houses many of Urbanshade's contained anomalies and where the company secretly conducts research on anomalies and humans alike. Many of these experiments are illegal and considered "unethical." The Hadal Division helps produce anomalous goods such as vacuum-tipped bullets, Pure Holy Water, and more. [5] Despite its secretive nature, the Hadal Division has an unpaid internship program.

NOST Subdivision: NOST is a subdivision of the Hadal Division tasked with managing responsibilities related to Banlands following its discovery in 2006. Members of the NOST subdivision are selected for their loyalty to Urbanshade and, in return, are granted access to top-secret information, specialized equipment, and elite training.

For more information on the NOST subdivision, see NOST.

Bioparanormal Subdivision: The Bioparanormal Subdivision is a subdivision of the Hadal Division. They are presumed to be responsible for investigating the anomalies that Urbanshade captures and sends to the Hadal Black Site.

Infiltration Division: The Infiltration Division is one of Urbanshade's divisions. Not much is known about it, but given its name, it likely engages in activities related to espionage, intelligence gathering, and subterfuge. Urbanshade's anti-personnel mines and anti-personnel bumpers were created for use by infiltration agents on their missions.

Expeditions Division: The Expeditions Division is one of Urbanshade's divisions. Little is known about it, but it is likely responsible for sending prisoners into anomalous zones for reconnaissance and terrain prospecting, or for carrying out tasks within those zones. It also appears to be responsible for deploying Urbanshade agents into the field to recover anomalies.

Risk and Ethics Division: The Risk and Ethics Division is one of Urbanshade's divisions. Not much is known about it, but it is known to have an operations center where it conducts electronic surveillance. It also appears to be responsible for dispatching agents to intercept anomalies.

Urbanshade Safety and Health Administration: The Urbanshade Safety and Health Administration (abbreviated as USHA) was a defunct department at Urbanshade that was likely responsible for ensuring the company's facilities provided safe and healthy working conditions for its employees. The department was destroyed in 2012 by an orbital cannon due to its failure to enforce safety standards, after which some of its functions were transferred to the Risk and Ethics Division. Its employee uniforms can be seen on maintenance workers outside the department in photographs found at the Blacksite Administration.

Marketing and Public Relations Division: The Marketing and Public Relations Division is one of the divisions of Urbanshade.

Medical and Wellness Subdivision: The Medical and Wellness Services subdivision is one of the subdivisions of Urbanshade.

Staff For more information, please see: Urbanshade Staff Urbanshade employs a variety of staff groups. The majority of its personnel appear to be security forces, comprising over 55.6% of the total staff at Hadal Black Site. Other personnel groups employed by Urbanshade include scientists, engineers, administrative staff, construction workers, maintenance personnel, and military personnel.

Urbanshade also maintains a population of prisoners for its human trials, recruited from inmates in prisons around the world that collaborate with Urbanshade. The tasks and tests assigned to each prisoner, as well as their living conditions, depend on their rank.

For a list of known Urbanshade staff, see the Character List.

Equipment

One of Urbanshade's combat vehicles. Urbanshade possesses a vast arsenal of weapons, vehicles, machinery, and other equipment. Most of its weaponry is manufactured in-house, though some is outsourced or based on designs from external organizations. A portion of Urbanshade's weaponry is also manufactured using anomalies captured by the company itself.

For more information, see: Urbanshade Equipment and Technologies List.

Products Urbanshade and its divisions offer a wide variety of goods and services to both public and private entities. Some of the best known are:

Private protection services government contracts Contract killing Selling anomalies to wealthy donors through Anomalous Auctions. The excess energy produced by the Z-2 crystal was sold to Europe. Natural resources excavated by trenchers Food processing (confectionery, dairy products, pasta) Aerospace engineering Weapons production (sale of armor-piercing ammunition with Z-V0 anomaly tip) Cosmetics made with the blood of Abomination Selling pure blood to churches, marketing it as holy water. Selling oxygen produced by The DiVine to children's hospitals, retail chains, or Urbanshade subsidiaries

Competitors

Urbanshade's earnings in the third fiscal quarter of 2025 compared to Innovation Inc. Little is known about Urbanshade's competitors in the world of Pressure. Urbanshade likely considers Innovation Inc. its primary rival, as the latter's best performance was directly cited in Urbanshade's quarterly report as a "failure." During the events of the Hadal Blacksite blockade, Innovation Inc. sends a submarine to rescue Sebastian Solace and p.AI.nter. Other organizations known to compete with Urbanshade include Pinewood Builders, Deluge Enterprise Labs, and BloxTop Associations.

Trivia In the notes for obtaining the Decoder, which are scattered around the lobby, an older version of the Hadal Division logo can be seen. Urbanshade's public logo is inspired by Denmark's national bird, the swan, and a popular Danish tourist attraction, Den lille Havfrue. [ 8 ] The Hadal Division logo consists of three main elements: The pentagram star represents Urbanshade's pact with the Devil of the Forbidden Lands. The crystal located in the center represents the Z-2 crystal that is preserved at the Hadal Black Site. The whirlpool represents the storm that led to the discovery of the Let-Vand area.
