The hazmat cleanup team always wears a yellow hazardous materials suit and can also deliver resources and medicine to Harlow. Unlike Sam, the entire team's faces are concealed by their suits. They already had an encounter with Ratthew when he entered the hospital through the vents and saw the team receiving boxes of medicine (maple syrup) that were possibly tampered with. They realized this, and Ratthew fled before they could do anything.

Sam is a calico cat with a white face marked by a large orange patch on one side and a black patch on the other, giving him a distinctive tricolor appearance. He has large, light blue sclera with narrow, constricted pupils, small pink ears (one of which is bitten), a small black nose, and long black whiskers. He wears a bright yellow protective suit with black trim and a front zipper, blue protective gloves, a black utility belt, and black boots, giving him the appearance of a professional hazardous materials worker.
Sam appears to be hardworking and experienced in hazardous materials cleaning, as he readily accepts such tasks. Despite being laid off from Animal Corporation, he continues to work in a similar position at the Veterinary Hospital, suggesting he is practical and willing to take on difficult jobs. However, he is considered rather clumsy, as during his three shifts (if employed), he might trip over his boots, get splashed with chemicals, or accidentally drop his scrubber.

Barney appears as a rabbit-like creature with white fur, narrow black eyes, and a thick mustache. He wears a brown burlap beret and brown plaid pants.
Its Anomaly form has a large mouth with sharp teeth, as well as large, hollow, deep black eyes with small white pupils.
Barney is a cheerful and friendly person, or at least that's what he seems to be. Despite being an anomaly, he's fully aware and knows what he's doing. He might ask for a scalpel or coffee (he'll always ask for coffee). He's much more demanding and manipulative, but he depends heavily on favors and tends to get quite angry if they're refused. He'll start threatening to force the favor, and he's quite sadistic, considering he's actually a serial killer being pursued by Officer Duck Man. If you betray him or hand Barney over, he might attack the officer before he escapes, seriously injuring him or even killing him.

Liz is a caracal with light brown fur and dark brown floppy ears that fade slightly from dark brown to a slightly darker shade. She has a white ring around her eyes and eyelashes. Her muzzle and whiskers are cream-colored, and her mouth is shaped like a small inverted V with the ends angled upwards.
It has a thin, brown tail, the same color as its fur. It wears a light blue cap, a black shirt, and a navy blue jacket. It has a white camera hanging around its neck. It wears light gray pants and black shoes.
Lizbeth is a bit exaggerated and energetic, but she is also quite friendly and somewhat confident. Lizbeth is also quite determined and intelligent in discovering the truth about the anomalous infection.
She was originally a reporter for the animal company, but when she began to uncover the truth and expose it, she was fired, and then they covered everything up by saying it was false.
She always carries a UV camera, and that camera is capable of capturing minute details that regular cameras can't. Lizbeth might invite you to her house at some point to see her own investigation into the animal company. She also supports Ratthew, and Ratthew supports Lizbeth: he needs the evidence to try again to expose the company, and he needs it to find his twin sister.

The firefighter is a gray elephant, despite being an animal, her size does not exceed that of the other employees and patients. She always wears a blue and yellow firefighter uniform and also always carries an extra blue fire extinguisher (there is also a red one near the supply store, but that one belongs to the hospital and everyone can use it in emergencies).
She is notoriously kind but reserved and somewhat nervous. She's not exactly someone who talks a lot, but she is a very good listener, although she sometimes tends to sleep too much or be a little difficult to find. However, she also appears when there are problems, such as fires in the rooms (which somehow don't burn the place down or even spread to the hallways).

The inmate is an anthropomorphic yellow rabbit wearing gray pants and a sweatshirt. He has long, erect ears and always wears a cheerful, somewhat confident smile.
He's a bit of a klutz and silly, but he's noticeably kind and cheerful. He likes to help, even though he often makes mistakes. He tries to be friends with everyone, although he can also get annoyed easily. As such, he's just another intern.

The second inmate shares the same appearance but his color is green, while the rest is noticeably similar. He stands out for being more chaotic and eccentric, somewhat conspiratorial, but he is actually quite patient. Unlike the yellow inmate, he is less socially outgoing.

Her appearance is similar; she is pinkish in color and noticeably more careful than the other two. She is quite kind and energetic but tends to get quite annoyed when ignored. Unlike the other two, the third intern is female, while the other two are male, although it is rare for her to argue with the others.

The fourth intern is noticeably shorter than the other three, but his appearance remains unchanged except for his dark blue skin tone. He is noticeably more studious and less cheerful than the other three, though still cheerful, but he doesn't like to let work interfere with his personal life. Despite being just another intern, he is quite knowledgeable, enough to support the surgeon when the head nurse is unavailable.

The secret agent, or as he is known by his name Nicky, is a humanoid cat of black color, wears a formal black suit, has large yellow eyes, always carries a weapon with at least 20 bullets inside which he can use to neutralize anomalies or eliminate anyone who gets in his way, his ears are triangular and medium in size.
He tends to be overly nosy and very open because of his job. Everyone thinks he's just someone sent to help, but his real job is to prevent the secrets of the animal company (owner of the hospital and the entire town) from coming to light, even going so far as to eliminate anyone who finds out and tries to make it public. He's not exactly a very kind or cheerful person.

Anomalies are patients (humanoid animals) infected with a disease. Anomalies can attack and kill both staff and patients, and other anomalies (though the latter is rarer). Sometimes, some have noticeable defects such as exaggerated mouths or empty or deformed eyes, even occasionally having three eyes. Sometimes, the defects are only visible through the cameras or photographs that are required to take of patients/visitors before they are allowed entry.
Their method of attack is through their mouth, which opens in an exaggerated way as if it were two separate parts, and they begin to bite. However, they take quite a while to kill a patient, so they can be stunned or directly stopped using the taser.

Ratthew is a small black rat. He has a white snout, two white incisors, and a long, curly, pink tail. Oddly, his ears look more like a rabbit's than a rat's. Sometimes, when he appears, he stares directly at the camera, but he doesn't turn his head any more than is physically possible.
Ratthew is a kind but slightly paranoid and distrustful person. He is also perceptive and observant; in a way, he is able to tell who is an anomaly and who is not. He is somewhat reserved and cautious; after all, he knows the secrets of the animal company, and they are looking for him to prevent him from talking (which is why the secret agent is in the hospital, but not exclusively because of Ratthew).
At some point, Ratthew managed to sneak into Ron's office and swiped some classified papers that Ron wasn't supposed to see. Ron considered it a favor. Ron never used Ratthew's real name and only referred to him as "that rat," a small, rude but mocking comment.

Ron is depicted as an anthropomorphic, floppy-eared rabbit with blue fur. His ears are always droopy. He has short, reddish-brown fur, combed back, and tired eyes with black eyelids and glossy black irises. His hands are soft and round. He maintains a generally neutral expression, with an inverted V-shaped mouth.
His long, blue rabbit ears are slightly longer than his head and a darker blue than the rest of his fur. He wears a simple white long-sleeved shirt with a white collar, oversized round black glasses, a black tie, black trousers, and brown leather shoes.
He also carries a black briefcase with the words "TOP SECRET" printed in red, similar to the one Dr. Harlow carries. The words appear to be in a stamped stencil font. While at the hospital, he wears a patient or visitor ID tag that reads "Accounting Round" on its left side.
Ron is a knowledgeable patient at the Animal Hospital and an employee of the Animal Corporation. He knows more than most about the hospital's anomalies, yet remains calm and collected despite the dangers surrounding him. Ron's dialogue is primarily influenced by juxtaposition and his paranoid demeanor. His reaction to the player's long-term survival suggests he's accustomed to new employees coming and going, and his experience with the Bed Monster demonstrates his pragmatism and preparedness for survival. Ron is highly observant, having noticed patterns among the anomalies, and he has no qualms about sharing the hospital's unsettling truths.
Despite working for the Animal Corporation, Ron seems to have little loyalty to the company.

Dr. Harlow is a dark orange muntjac deer. Around his neck he wears a black stethoscope. Under his coat, he wears a blue medical scrub set with a red tie. His coat is buttoned almost completely, revealing only a small portion of what lies beneath. On his head rests a headlamp with a brown band.
In his right hand, he carries a black suitcase with the words "TOP SECRET" in red letters, similar to Ron's Accounting suitcase. His face features slanted eyes with glossy black irises, and his mouth is covered by a blue surgical mask. Two large gray antlers atop his head. His forehead has dark orange patterns on his face, and his ears are a slightly darker shade than his face.
Sometimes Harlow goes outside the hospital to talk to an Animal Corporation employee wearing a chemical protective suit, to the staff room, or to the reception desk at the end of his shift. He has worked at the Veterinary Hospital for a long time and has seen many employees come and go. He seems traumatized by an unspecified incident from which the Animal Corporation "saved" him, and now works with them in a higher-ranking position. He hopes that once his "investigation" is over, there will be no more patients, no more endless shifts at the hospital, and no more problems. Throughout the monologue, he speaks in a melancholic, yearning, and somewhat weary tone.
His personality is serious and somewhat kind; he cares about others, although he is also a bit of a coward.

The psychologist is an anthropomorphic rabbit of lime green color, has a brown mustache and elongated ears, the inside being a little darker, large and dark eyes.
He wears a green sweater with darker stripes and brown pants, a tie and round glasses.
I tend to be a much more open and friendly person, although I can also be easily upset/scared, or sometimes that doesn't affect me at all.
His name is Dave

The surgeon is a humanoid deer of brown color, with slightly yellowish brown antlers of a light tone, he has a lighter and yellowish spot on his face, he also has large eyes and short ears (but they are covered by his uniform).
He wears a cyan and white surgical scrub set, blue pants, and white gloves.
He is usually quiet, doesn't tend to interact much, and is somewhat reserved.

The surgeon is a humanoid deer of light brown color, with slightly darker brown antlers, it has a lighter spot on its face and also has large eyes and short ears.
He wears a green paramedic uniform and a lime green vest with dark blue pants, and sometimes he can be seen wearing a blue face mask.
He tends to be somewhat nervous and worried, but also kind. Sometimes he's distrustful because he often comes out to help after anomaly attacks, and this distrust arose because some anomalies tried to gain his trust before attacking, or they didn't even try to hide it and tried to kill him (he's still alive).
He always carries a can of soda to stay awake during night shifts.
His name is Luis

The security guard is a gray humanoid cat with large eyes, slightly short whiskers, and triangular ears. He wears a blue and black security uniform and has a taser that can be used five times before it runs out. He also has a camera that he can install anywhere, although it can also be damaged.
His personality is noticeably more serious and much less flexible than others, and he tends to be someone who prefers to avoid talking much, but he still cares about everyone else.
His name is Ruan

The nurse is a humanoid dog, salmon-pink in color, with darker-toned ears and small stripes of the same dark shade on her face, arms, hands, and legs. She wears a blue surgical scrub set and has a stethoscope around her neck and large eyes.
He is usually kind and cheerful, sometimes he worries too much about others, but he can also be a little irritable due to tiredness or pressure.
Her name is Isabelle

The head nurse is a humanoid cat, white with small gray spots, large eyes, and triangular ears with small whiskers on either side of her mouth. She wears a cyan-blue surgical scrub set and has a stethoscope around her neck.
She has a calm and kind demeanor, although serious and rigid; she usually supports Harlow most of the time, sometimes ignoring morality.
Her name is Luna

The hospital is a three-story building. The first two floors utilize all available space to create a rectangular shape, while the third floor has a gap in the middle, making it noticeably smaller. The left side is Harlow's room, while the other is possibly a conference room or a document storage area. The second floor is unavailable, as it is currently empty.
The first floor has an entrance in the center of the building, which has a hallway that leads to the center of the place where there is a supply store that opens for short periods of time on a regular basis.
Before reaching the store, the corridor splits in two, the left corridor and the right corridor. The right corridor has a total of 5 regular rooms used for patients with common problems and regular treatments.
While the left corridor has a total of 3 rooms, one for cardiac scans (number 6), another for x-rays (number 7), and one for surgeries (number 8), these are used for more critical patients.
The reception (which is before the corridors that lead to the rooms) has two windows to register and allow passage to patients or the cleaning team. The windows have a grille to deny passage to 'anomalies' that usually leave calmly when ignored. Before the reception there is an empty space where there are several chairs for visitors with a plant in each corner of the room.
Inside the room there is a black table with a coffee maker next to some glasses and chocolate bars. There is also a single-use taser that needs to be recharged before it runs out of battery, and monitors to access the security cameras that can see the hallways and the reception area, although occasionally the cameras malfunction.

You can access the second floor via a staircase located to the side of the X-ray room. The staircase leads to a rather small rest room. To one side is a laboratory. The laboratory has four shelves along its sides, containing some purple mushrooms, a pink gelatin that isn't exactly gelatin, some milk cartons, and ginger roots. These objects can be mixed with DNA samples, which may be unstable and produce no effect, or they may be stable and generate minor alterations in the person to whom they are applied, such as glowing, involuntary dancing (for some reason), deformities, accelerated hair growth, or nothing apparent may occur. The samples are extracted with a special syringe, and a special machine is used inside that room: one that prepares the sample for use and another that finalizes the modified sample before it is used.
