After Pavel Vershinin prevented the Chernobyl disaster, the disaster instead occurred in the United States at the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant in Maryland. As a result, the USSR did not collapse and became a superpower, while the United States is now in a civil war. Pasha returned home, or rather, to his reality, but suddenly, Pasha returned home, but only from an alternate reality, but he was killed through an open window by the deceased CPSU lieutenant Sergei Kostenko (this was Pasha's hallucination, and he killed his copy from this reality). Soon, Pasha meets his friends and is glad that they are alive, because in his reality they all died, but the guys were no longer the same:

Soon, all the guys and you were heading to the airport to fly to the US exclusion zone, but only Nikita and Pasha knew about it. Nikita registered your flight as a scientific expedition, so your luggage shouldn't be inspected. You, Pasha, and Nikita stood at the entrance and waited for Nastya, Gosha, and Lesha. (You will meet Anya later on the plane, as she is a flight attendant).
