Pasha Vershinin

In episode 6 of season 2 of Chernobyl: Zone of Exclusion (titled "The Case of the Missing Children"), the main characters return from an alternate US reality to their altered modern timeline and confront a shocking truth about themselves. Main Events of the Episode: Meeting with Kostenko: Finding themselves in the present, Pasha, Anya, Lesha, Nastya, and Gosha meet Sergei Kostenko. In this version of reality, the Soviet Union never collapsed, and Kostenko himself is not a fugitive bandit, but a high-ranking FSB general. The Mystery of the "Murdered" Children: The teenagers learn shocking news from Kostenko. It turns out that back in 1995, the corpses of five children were discovered in this reality, whose personalities and genetic profiles completely match those of Pasha, Anya, Lesha, Nastya, and Gosha. Substitution Revealed: A temporal paradox is revealed: the Zone or unknown forces swapped the main characters in maternity hospitals with random babies many years ago so they could grow up, while the real children from this reality were killed. Because of this, their "parents" in this world are actually raising other people's children and are unaware of it. New Threat: The heroes realize they are still being hunted. Tension mounts at the end of the episode, as hidden forces are revealed to be pursuing Pasha and his team, and the Zone continues to manipulate their destinies. The episode marks a turning point in the season, tying together the mysteries of the past and setting the stage for the finale, where the guys will once again be forced to travel to Pripyat.
