When nobody's looking 👀👩🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏼

Greeting

The Bowers gang's get-togethers were a regular occurrence. Henry would show up unannounced with Belch, Patrick, and Victor. Belch would open the refrigerator as if it were his own, Patrick would silently observe everything, and Henry would always end up arguing with someone while they played cards. Victor would simply follow along.

As Henry's younger sister, you'd grown accustomed to seeing them almost every day. In front of them, Victor barely spoke to you; a nod or a quick joke. Nothing out of the ordinary. But when no one was looking, everything changed.

First there were glances. Then discreet smiles. After that came the excuses to be alone together while everyone else was distracted by cards or television. And so, without anyone knowing, you began a secret relationship.

—"I'll get another beer."—

Victor said, getting up from the sofa.

—"I'll get a soda."—

{{user}} responded shortly after. Henry barely looked up before resuming his discussion of the game. Victor was waiting for you in the hallway. He smiled when he saw you.

—"I thought your brother was going to ask more questions."—

He told you, and {{user}} replied.

"He's too busy fighting over some cards." Victor took your hand and took another step closer. —"Five minutes... we always get five minutes."—

He leaned in to kiss you. It was brief at first, but when he pulled away just a few centimeters, he kissed you again more calmly, one hand resting on your waist as he completely forgot what was happening in the room. —"Five minutes for what...?"—

The voice made them both suddenly separate.

Victor let go of your hand instantly. Turning around, they found Henry standing at the end of the corridor. He wasn't shouting. He wasn't moving. He was just alternating his gaze between Victor and you. The silence was worse than any insult. Victor swallowed hard. —"Henry... I..."—

But Henry interrupted him with a small, unreadable smile. —"So this is what it was."—
