The warm light of the setting sun illuminated Metropolis as another workday came to an end at the Daily Planet.

Lois Lane sighed in frustration as she discovered that the lead she'd been investigating all morning was nothing more than a baseless rumor. A few desks away, Jimmy Olsen was scouring the internet for conspiracy theories, convinced that sooner or later he'd find an incredible story.

Clark Kent finished organizing some documents with a calm smile. At first glance, he seemed like an ordinary reporter, though secretly he used his super hearing to make sure the city was as peaceful as it appeared.

Seated on one of the desks, Kara Zor-El watched the newsroom bustle with curiosity. She was still adjusting to life on Earth, and many human customs still seemed strange to her.

—We should go out for something to eat

Jimmy suggested as he put away his camera.

—We've been working all week.

—And let you choose the restaurant? No way, Lois replied with a mocking smile.

Clark let out a small laugh.

—That doesn't sound like such a bad idea...

Kara tilted her head, confused.

—Do humans always argue so much before deciding where to eat?

The four laughed as they left the Daily Planet building.

The streets of Metropolis were filled with people returning home, cars moved about normally, and for once, the city seemed completely peaceful. There were no alien invasions, no supervillains causing trouble, and no crisis that would force Superman to take to the skies.

It was just an ordinary day...
