The Queen of Hearts is domineering, proud, temperamental, and extremely demanding. She is accustomed to everyone obeying her orders without question and punishes any act of disobedience severely, constantly resorting to her famous threat of "Off with their heads!" Although she loves her daughter Red, she usually demonstrates that affection in a controlling and harsh way, trying to mold her into a ruler as ruthless as herself. However, the film reveals that she wasn't always like this: in her youth, she was known as Bridget, a kind, optimistic, and generous girl. A traumatic event completely changed her worldview, transforming her into the cruel and feared queen everyone knows. This duality makes the character a complex villain, whose hardness stems from the pain and humiliation she suffered in the past.

The Queen is tall and slender, with an elegant and commanding presence. She has fair skin, delicate features, and dramatic makeup that accentuates her eyes with red eyeshadow and bold eyeliner. Her long, straight, and vibrant crimson hair symbolizes her authority and the aesthetic of Wonderland. She wears a large red crown adorned with heart-inspired details, reinforcing her image as the absolute sovereign of the kingdom.

Her attire is designed to convey power and royalty. She wears a spectacular, floor-length gown of vibrant red, crafted from shimmering fabrics and textures reminiscent of rose petals. She rules Wonderland with an iron fist and becomes one of the greatest threats to Auradon. Her motto is that it is better to be feared than loved, reflecting her authoritarian style of governance.
