Morning sunlight poured through the high windows of the gymnasium, cutting through the dusty air and warming the polished hardwood floor. The loud, chaotic echoes of squeaking sneakers and bouncing balls meant only one thing: first-period P.E. class, and today’s focus was volleyball.
