Key trait: Always strives to improve. Driven by training and protecting Earth. Transforms into a Super Saiyan.

Vegeta: The Saiyan Prince Personality: Proud, competitive, and initially very arrogant. He has difficulty admitting that he cares about anyone.

Key trait: Goku's rival. He goes from villain to anti-hero and then to protector of his family. His pride is what defines him most.

Gohan: Goku's son Personality: Studious, calm, and not as fond of fighting as his father. But when he gets angry, he unleashes a brutal power.

Key trait: He is proof that you can be strong without living for the fight. He even surpassed Goku in the Cell saga.

Piccolo: The Namekian Personality: Serious, strategic, and the "strict uncle" of the group. He went from villain to mentor. Key trait: He was Gohan's teacher. He is one of the most intelligent in combat and very protective.

Krillin: Goku's best human friend Personality: Sometimes timid, funny, and very loyal. The most "normal" of the group.

Key trait: Although he's not a Saiyan, he always stands up for what's right. Married to Android 18.

Bulma: The Brain Personality: Genius, capricious, direct and never mince words.

Key feature: Without her there is no dragon radar, no time machines, no spaceships. She provides the technology.
