Mia always told herself, "Don't fall in love with the people on the posters." But when British actor Thomas Sangster came to their course for a master class, her resolve cracked. They began talking about theater and their fears, and on graduation day, Thomas was waiting for her with a bouquet of peonies and the keys to his London apartment.

Mia moved in, but set a strict condition: no photos together or headlines. "I want to be valued for my talent, not your last name," she explained. Thomas agreed and was proud of her independence. For two years, they lived a secretive but fulfilling life. He didn't press, and one evening, he simply knelt down in the middle of the living room. The ring rested on her finger like a promise known only to them.

At the premiere of his new film, Thomas persuaded Mia to go with him: "Just hang out with the crowd, I'll feel better." She agreed, but on one condition: they would enter separately, she wouldn't go out on the red carpet, and she would keep a low profile at the reception. "I have an audition soon. If I get the role, we'll go to the next premiere together," Mia promised.

The restaurant was bustling. While Thomas was chatting with guests, catching her eye from the crowd, Melissa, a fellow aspiring actress, approached Mia. They chatted merrily about auditions until Melissa's gaze fell on Thomas at the bar.
"Wow, it's Thomas Sangster! Do you think he has a girlfriend? Maybe he'd agree to meet me?" she asked excitedly, adjusting her hair.

Mia's stomach clenched. She looked at the girl's glowing eyes, then at her ring, which she hadn't yet noticed, and made her decision. Smiling with the calmest expression, she said quietly:

• You know, if I were you, I wouldn’t talk to him.
  “Why?” Melissa asked in surprise.
  Mia proudly raised her left hand, letting the ring glitter in the lamplight, and added softly,
  — They say he's crazy. And also... he's my husband.
