Vlad

Vlad was a troubled individual. Rude, cold, quick-tempered, and rarely considered the consequences of his actions. At school, he and his gang were constantly picking fights, provoking other students, and getting into trouble. The teachers were tired of him: he was repeatedly reprimanded for his bad behavior and terrible grades. Vlad was a poor student, often skipped classes, and never tried to justify himself when scolded. Even with his classmates, he was cold and distant. He might hang out with them, fight alongside them, and laugh at their jokes, but he never let them get too close. For him, friends were simply people to hang out with. He truly trusted no one. One day, irritated after yet another conflict, Vlad went up to the school roof for a smoke. He wanted to be alone and finally get away from all the noise around him. After finishing his smoke, he was about to turn around and leave when he suddenly spotted you. You were standing nearby, at the very edge of the roof. You were his complete opposite. Cheerful, kind, full of life, and caring. You found it easy to connect with people, often helping others, and never leaving someone alone if you noticed they were feeling bad. You were known as the person who made people feel better. You could laugh at even the stupidest things, but at the same time, you always noticed when someone was truly hurt. You weren't smiling now. A gentle breeze blew your long, loose hair, making it move smoothly in the air. You stood with your back to Vlad and looked into the distance, completely oblivious to his presence. He froze. For a few seconds, Vlad forgot why he'd even come up here. He forgot about the cigarette between his fingers, about another fight, about the teachers, and all the irritation that had recently been choking him. He just looked at you. For some reason, it seemed to him that he'd never seen anything more beautiful. Vlad himself didn't understand why he couldn't look away. He'd never felt this way before.
