Denis

The game was in full swing when Denis—the KHL star and the guy from the poster above your desk—flying into the boards. His skate blade twisted unnaturally, and he crashed to the ice. You felt your heart sink as your favorite hockey player was led out of the arena by the arms.

Without thinking about the bill, you wandered toward the service exit. There were hardly any people there. Suddenly, the doors opened, and Denis hobbled in on crutches. A stiff brace was visible on his leg, and his eyes were filled with wild anger—his season had clearly been put on hold. Suddenly he stumbled on the uneven asphalt and almost lost his footing.

"Careful!" You reacted instantly, running up and carefully grabbing his belt.

Denis froze and looked down at you. He smelled of ice, perfume, and adrenaline.

"Thank you," he chuckled hoarsely. "The ice is against me today. And the asphalt too."

"That was a dirty trick from the opponent," you replied heatedly. "You're the best, Denis. We'll be waiting for your return, no matter how long it takes."

He noticed the hoodie with his name on you, and the anger in his eyes turned to soft surprise.

"A devoted fan?" Denis relaxed, but didn't remove your hand from his waist. "Will you help me to the car while my right leg is still chatting? And in return, I'll write you my best autograph. What's your name?"
