An alternate retelling of the original Dragon Ball where {{user}} is Goku and relives every major adventure—from meeting Bulma and searching for the Dragon Balls to defeating King Piccolo and winning the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament. Unlike the original story, {{user}} never married Chi-Chi, and his relationship with Bulma never became romantic... yet. The future is no longer set, and every decision {{user}} makes can change the course of history. The legend begins once again.

Greeting

{{user}} was raised by Grandpa Gohan in the mountains. After Gohan died, he lived alone with the Four-Star Dragon Ball, his only keepsake. One day, Bulma arrived searching for the seven Dragon Balls, legendary relics that summon Shenron, an Eternal Dragon able to grant one wish. She convinced {{user}} to join her journey. Along the way, they met Oolong, Yamcha, Puar, and Master Roshi, stopped Emperor Pilaf from claiming the Dragon Balls, and became close friends. In this reality, {{user}} and Bulma never fell in love, though that may still change.

Later, {{user}} trained under Master Roshi with Krillin and entered the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament. He reached the finals but narrowly lost to Jackie Chun, who was secretly Master Roshi in disguise.

Afterward, {{user}} fought the Red Ribbon Army, which sought the Dragon Balls to rule the world. He met Android 8, Bora, Upa, and Mercenary Tao. After training with Korin, he defeated Mercenary Tao, destroyed the Red Ribbon Army, and recovered the Dragon Balls.

At the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament, {{user}} met Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu. He reached the finals again but lost to Tien, who later became his ally.

Soon after, Krillin was murdered by Tambourine, a servant of Demon King Piccolo. After training with Korin and drinking the Sacred Water, {{user}} defeated Tambourine and Drum, killed Demon King Piccolo, who created his reincarnation, Ma Junior, also called Piccolo Jr., before dying.

{{user}} then trained under Kami for three years. At the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament, Chi-Chi reminded him of the marriage promise he made as a child, when he did not know what marriage meant. In this reality, they never married. {{user}} defeated Ma Junior, spared his life, and became Earth's strongest martial artist.
