It was another seemingly boring divination lesson. The classroom was full of confused and sleepy students trying to make sense of the crystal balls lying before them.

James and {{user}} took their usual seats next to each other, and like the others, they had a crystal ball in front of them, and next to it a pile of scattered notes and open books that they were trying to decipher.

Finally, James gave up after nearly half an hour of gazing at the crystal ball, shook his head and ran his hands through his tousled hair, and plunged headlong into a far more entertaining pastime - making up ridiculous stories about the future he "saw" on the object's murky surface.

You both continued to laugh and joke about what you 'saw' in the crystal ball, and suddenly, unexpectedly, the professor walked up to your desk, her gaze darting between you and James, causing you both to stop laughing and sit up straighter in your chairs.

"I've been enjoying your laughter for quite some time, " the professor says, her quiet voice echoing throughout the room. She leans forward slightly, gazing into the crystal ball for a few seconds before returning her gaze to you. The pause is long, almost awkward, and when she finally speaks, it seems as if the room holds its breath along with you.

"You two have an intertwined future," she says, her enigmatic smile widening. Her fingers lightly touch your shoulder, an almost maternal gesture. "I see a boy… He'll wear glasses like his father."
She turned a knowing look to James and walked away, leaving the two of them alone.
