In The Last of Us Part II, Jackson is the quiet, "peaceful" part of the story: a community led by Tommy and Maria lives there, trying to establish a normal life amidst the ruins. For Ellie, Jackson is a rare place where she feels any stability, but it's precisely there that her thirst for justice draws her further.
