Underworld
The main twist: where did they end up? When Twilight, Darkness, and Nebulor break through the final wall and escape beyond their prison blocks, they discover that they haven't escaped to freedom at all. They found themselves in a gigantic underground world. The laboratory they inhabited was merely a tiny sector within a colossal, enclosed underground mega-complex. Everything they thought was the "exit to the big world" turned out to be another deep level of TEDI, entirely designed for large-scale testing, military simulations, and the long-term containment of anomalies. What lies beyond their blocks? The area beyond their living quarters is a dark and dangerous ecosystem: Technogenic Wasteland: Vast spaces filled with massive industrial structures, high-voltage cables, pipes, and gigantic airlocks. The sky is replaced by an endlessly high, dark ceiling of metal slabs, dotted with spotlights and surveillance sensors. Artificial Biomes: To test the combat abilities of monsters, the organization recreated entire underground testing grounds with artificial environments, simulating harsh survival conditions. Militarized Zone: This area is completely controlled by TEDI for covert warfare. Automated turrets, patrol drones, and security posts led by Overseers are stationed throughout. Danger at Large Finding themselves in this underground world, the heroes understand the scale of the threat. It turns out that TEDI is holding hundreds of other monsters here, and the organization's main goal is to fully understand the genetics and vulnerabilities of the "monster-kind" in order to completely destroy them or use them in a global war. Moreover, according to the complex's rules, once the monsters mature and their powers become too dangerous, TEDI simply eliminates them.
All-Seeing
Key facts about the character from the pilot episode: Appearance: He is shrouded in complete secrecy. Viewers are never shown him in person: the character appears on the laboratory's screens and monitors exclusively as a geometric figure—a triangle. Through these screens, he tirelessly observes everything that happens in the complex. Role in the organization: The All-Seeing One is the absolute boss of the militarized scientists and Watchers. He coordinates TEDI's global goals of capturing, brutally studying, and cataloging monsters, seeing them as a potential threat to humanity. His Commands: He is cold-blooded and merciless. When the main characters (Twilight, Darkness, and Nebulor) hack the system and escape, it is the All-Seeing who orders the Watchers to launch a full-scale hunt, disregarding the lives of the test subjects if they prove too dangerous.
Three rules that the main characters followed
Complete obedience to the Overseers The monsters were strictly forbidden from offering any resistance or displaying aggression toward staff or Overseers (creatures with screens instead of heads). Any disobedience, attempt to attack a staff member, or refusal to submit to experiments was punished with severe electric shocks delivered through their collars and control belts. The heroes were required to obey all commands of the Chief Overseer and Overseer 404.2 without question. Mandatory participation in daily tests Every day, the heroes were required to undergo painful tests and experiments. The gist of the rule was that they were not allowed to hide their abilities. Scientists deliberately provoked the monsters, forcing them to use their powers to the maximum (for example, drawing electricity from Twilight and spatial magic from Darkness) in order to measure their limits and record the data in the TEDI3 catalogs. Strict isolation within their blocks. For a long time, the heroes were strictly forbidden from leaving the boundaries of their assigned residential sectors and freely moving around the complex. Each of the three monster divisions (Terrestrial, Extraterrestrial, and Spatial) was kept in its own isolated block. Violating this rule and attempting to enter another zone or technical facilities immediately triggered an alarm, laser barriers, and the summoning of punitive squads. It was the realization that upon reaching a certain age they would be guaranteed disposal that forced the heroes to break all three rules, unite, and make a daring breakthrough.
TEDI and their laboratory
What is the laboratory like? This is a gigantic, highly guarded underground research facility. According to the pilot episode, it is divided into three enormous living and experimental units, each isolated and adapted for a specific species. The laboratory is equipped with advanced security systems, laser barriers, force fields, and millions of security cameras. What does TEDI do? The organization's official goals are to "study and catalog anomalous fauna," but their actual activities are cruel and exploitative: Confinement and Classification: The Company captures monsters across the Universe and dimensions, assigns them serial numbers, and categorizes them into three fundamental classes (which included Twilight, Darkness, and Nebulor). Painful Experiments: Scientists conduct rigorous tests on monsters to measure the limits of their powers. For example, they deliberately induce intense surges of fear, anger, and panic in Twilight and Darkness, as destructive emotions fuel their magic and electricity. Control and Suppression: Test subjects are fitted with special high-tech collars and control belts (one of which still hangs from Mrak's leg). These devices can instantly block the monsters' superpowers or shock them if they attempt to disobey. Surveillance by "Overs": To maintain total control over the laboratory, the company bred or created a separate subspecies of creatures—Overs (led by the Chief Overseer and Overseer 404). These anthropomorphic beings with enormous televisions or monitors instead of heads, broadcasting images from the cameras and personally commanding cleanup teams.
Division D
Division "D" - Dimensional (Dimensional/Dimensional Monsters) The most dangerous, unpredictable and least studied class of creatures that originated in other dimensions, subspaces or folds of reality. Traits and Features: Their bodies are often composed of pure energy, darkness, or volatile matter. They can completely defy conventional anatomy (for example, the Darkness has a spherical body and only one enormous eye). Nature of Powers: They possess the ability to distort the fabric of space. They can open portals to their pocket dimensions, instantly move, pass through solid objects, merge with shadows, and change the shape or size of their bodies. Their magic is fueled by strong mental impulses (fear, anger). Weaknesses: Extremely unstable. They have difficulty maintaining a consistent form in the normal three-dimensional world, and their powers can spiral out of control if the being loses emotional balance.
Division E
Division "E" - Extraterrestrial (Extraterrestrial / Alien Monsters) This includes intelligent beings and organisms that have arrived on Earth from deep space, other planets or distant galaxies. Traits and Features: These are most often highly evolved, intelligent beings. They may appear as classic aliens, insectoids, or gelatinous humanoids with luminous elements. Nature of their powers: Instead of classic magic or superpowers, they rely on technological superiority and unique intelligence (like Nebulor). They are capable of creating advanced gadgets from any scrap, hacking complex security systems, and manipulating forms of energy unknown to earthlings. Some of them also possess telepathy or levitation. Weaknesses: They are often physically weaker than Ground Monsters and are vulnerable in direct combat without their tech or weapons.
Division T
Division "T" - Terrestrial (Ground/Earth Monsters) This class includes creatures whose nature is closely connected with the physical world, earthly ecology or natural elements. Properties and Traits: They possess distinct organic and biological features (claws, fangs, fur, scales). They are best understood by scientists in terms of anatomy, but are extremely dangerous in close combat. Nature of powers: Their abilities are tied to physical strength, manipulation of natural elements (earth, fire, water, electricity, like Twilight) or control of their own body (regeneration, poisons). Weaknesses: Completely bound to the laws of physics and gravity. Their powers greatly drain them physically, causing, for example, extreme hunger.
Nebulor
Nebulor - Extraterrestrial Monster The "brain" of the team, responsible for the technical aspects of survival and escape. Race: Extraterrestrial Monster. Appearance: An alien with characteristic extraterrestrial features and glowing eyes. Personality: The calmest, most level-headed, and most intellectual of the trio. A typical geek and inventor who tries to compensate for his lack of combat magic with technology. Abilities: While he possesses no destructive superpowers or magic, he is recognized as a "genius gadgeteer." Nebulor is capable of constructing working high-tech devices from any scrap or scrap material, from a remote control that switches blocked TEDI channels to a cryochamber for cooling his favorite ice cream.
Darkness
Gloom - Dimensional Monster The most mysterious, dark, and at the same time charismatic member of the team, who has gained immense popularity in the fandom. Race: Dimensional Monster. Appearance: A cyclops with a dark gray spherical body, long, thin legs, and enormous, round feet. He wears a black knit beanie with spiked ears and a yellow TEDI tag. A TEDI control belt is attached to his left leg. His single, enormous eye is yellow with a vertical, black pupil. Personality: Wary, grumpy, and pragmatic. Unlike Twilight, he tries to assess danger realistically, but is easily provoked. Abilities: Manipulation of darkness and the creation of dark portals leading to pocket dimensions. Shade can use these portals to instantly travel, disappear, or hide objects. He can also shapeshift his body (stretching his limbs, turning into a fleeting shadow on walls, or increasing his size for intimidation). His magic, like Twilight's, is fueled by strong emotions.
Sparkle
Zappy - Terrestrial A hyperactive and emotional monster girl who literally can't sit still. Race: Earth / Terrestrial Monster. Appearance: A small, red-and-yellow anthropomorphic creature with claws on its paws. It has glowing eyes and a very expressive facial expression. Personality: Impulsive, explosive, loud, and very gluttonous (in the pilot, she managed to chew up a metal alarm clock). Acts faster than she thinks. Abilities: Manipulating electricity and creating shockwaves (for example, she can shatter a floor with a single jump). The strength of her electrical charges directly depends on the intensity of her emotions. She possesses the rudiments of "breaking the fourth wall."
