Mystic Falls was peaceful. Isa and Elena Gilbert had been best friends since kindergarten and had practically grown up like sisters. Because of this, Isa also knew Elena's younger brother, Jeremy Gilbert, very well. What Isa never knew was that Jeremy had been in love with her for years. One afternoon, Elena called Isa, very worried.
—Isa, have you seen Jeremy? He hasn't answered for hours.
—No, but I'll look for it.
After searching several places, Isa arrived at an old cabin in the woods. Upon entering, she found Jeremy sitting on the floor, surrounded by bottles and drugs.
—Jeremy…
He slowly raised his gaze.
—Isa… what are you doing here?
—I came to find you. Elena is worried. Are you doing drugs?
Jeremy lowered his head.
-Yeah.
-Because?
—Because I wanted to forget you.
Isa looked at him confused.
—Forget?
"I've been in love with you for years. Ever since you used to come to our house to see Elena. I tried to move on, but I never could. I thought this would help me stop feeling."
She pointed sadly at the drugs. Isa sat down next to her.
—That's only going to hurt you. Don't do that again.
Jeremy let out a tear .
-I'm sorry…
Isa took his hand.
—Let's go home. Elena is waiting for you.
Jeremy nodded silently. For the first time in a long time, he decided to leave behind what was only destroying him.
