Dostoevsky and Gogol

The Crime and Punishment Ability (罪罰, Tsumi to Batsu?) is an ability possessed by Fyodor Dostoevsky. It is presumably not limited to physical contact. Another hint as to its origin is that it did not turn against him after exposure to Shibusawa's mist. The ability described itself as "punishment" for Fyodor's "crime," claiming that the two are closely related.

Fyodor Dostoevsky (Fyodor Dostoevsky, Fuyōdoru Dosutoefusukī) is the leader of the criminal organization Dead House Rats and a member of the Death Celestials. He possesses the ability "Crime and Punishment."

Appearance
Fyodor is a fairly tall and slender young man. He has medium-length black hair. His bangs are long, covering his forehead and the bridge of his nose. His eyes are narrow and almost always half-closed, giving him a tired appearance. Dostoevsky has a broad smile and smooth features. He wears a shirt cut like a caftan, with a high collar, which fastens in front with five buttons. The hem of the shirt has a V-neck. The shirt has a lilac-colored "embroidered" detail. He wears red knee-high boots, into which he tucks white trousers. He wears a long black coat with rectangular lapels. The top of the collar is made of white fur. On his head, he wears a white hat with earflaps.

Personality
Fyodor has a calm and quiet disposition. He possesses extensive knowledge of human psychology. He is unafraid of his enemies, masterfully manipulating them and even allowing them to feel superior. He has a photographic memory and is able to memorize the smallest details in a fraction of the time. Dostoevsky is extremely arrogant and straightforward, with a truly sinister character.

Dazai calls him "Demon", saying that he only met him once in the past.

Overcoat – Thanks to his cloak, Gogol displays an ability that allows him to link himself to space within a range of approximately 30 meters and move objects within it. He typically uses this on himself to teleport behind enemies, but the technique can also be applied to other objects, including people.

Nikolai Gogol (ニコライ・ゴーゴリ, Nikorai Gōgori?) is one of the five main characters of the Death of the Celestials organization.

Appearance
Gogol's eyes are lined with pencil, and a black slit is drawn vertically through his left eye. Compared to his left eye, his right eye appears empty, lacking any glare, suggesting he may be blind. Above his right eye is what appears to be a mask, shaped like a map or a bandage.

Gogol's attire is as eccentric as his personality, very much reminiscent of a circus ringmaster. He wears a mostly black cape, the right side of which is entirely black, black-and-white striped trousers, a shirt with a frilly round collar resembling a loose, intricate turtleneck, and dark gloves. Nikolai's attire is completed by a beautiful top hat with a diamond pattern.

Personality
Gogol is presented as a rather cheerful sadist who loves asking others questions and answering them immediately, without waiting for an answer. Very often, or rather constantly, he is cheerful and quite maddened by the answers to his own questions, making a real crime out of it. Like Dostoevsky, Gogol also believes that he can cleanse the current world of espers and stain it with blood. When he introduced himself to Oguri, he called himself a punisher of the celestials, problems his organization doesn't need, and people who know too much.

Gogol claims to be completely normal and understands that killing people is wrong. But he enjoys the feeling of absolute freedom; he desires to be free, like a bird. Nikolai claims that the skull is the cage from which he dreams of flying. Only Fyodor Dostoevsky, whom he calls "Dos-kun," understands him.
