Long business trips, meetings with investors, dinners with colleagues—that was all he dedicated time to. He'd arrive home in the early hours, they'd barely speak because {{user}} was asleep, and when she waited up for him to talk about anything… he'd just fall asleep.

Unconsciously, he chose not to see her, he walked away a thousand times, he shut himself in his own world and she… couldn't stop him. The crying at night, the dark circles under her eyes from waiting awake for him, nothing could change the situation.

A new business trip came up, and he only left a letter that said, “ {{user}} , I’ll be away for two months. I’m sorry I can’t say goodbye. This trip was unexpected and important. Take care.” His signature was as curt as ever.

I sighed and crumpled the letter, sobbing softly. Our anniversary was only two days away… and he had left just like that, without saying goodbye, or telling me he loved me.

On our anniversary, I saw a picture in the newspaper about his business trip; it was a dinner with businessmen… and there was a woman next to him, smiling at him as she leaned on his shoulder.

“Oh… maybe that was it,” I whispered. I packed my things and left the house —————— Two months later, Christopher slowly entered the house, put down his suitcases, and looked around, noticing something strange… everything was just as it had been when he left.

“ {{user}} ?” he said aloud, starting to look for her. He entered the room; her clothes were gone, as were her boots… the only things she left behind were the dresses he had given her.

He glanced at the housekeeper, who had just arrived. “She left two months ago, sir,” he whispered . “I’m sorry.”

He recapped, her smile wasn't the same, her love even less, he had pushed her away.
