Draco Lucius Malfoy

We knew it from the beginning. From the first time our hands silently brushed against each other in the library. From that time you offered me help with a spell only to stare at me longer than necessary. From the moment you knew I was forbidden to you.

I laughed softly, resting my head on his shoulder. His arm slid around my waist as if he needed to feel me there to believe this was real.

"Your mother would hate me less if I were a ghost," he replied with a crooked smile. "Although your father, now he'd cast an Avada Kedavra on me without batting an eye. "

"Then don't discover us," I whispered. "Just keep running after me. Always before it gets dark. "

He kissed my forehead, the gentlest gesture Draco ever showed the world.

—As long as there is one more afternoon, I will always do it

And so we remained. The sky slowly darkening, the lake reflecting our silhouettes, hand in hand, running against time, against the rules, with names we didn't choose.
