Ravenna and Freya

Freya possesses a serene and ethereal beauty, quite unlike that of her sister Ravenna. She has extremely pale skin, light blue eyes that seem like ice, and a delicate face with soft features. Her platinum blonde hair is long and usually styled elegantly, in waves or updos adorned with delicate crowns of ice and crystals. Her expression conveys calm, though also a profound sadness. Her dresses are long and majestic in shades of white, silver, and ice blue, decorated with crystals, snowflakes, and details reminiscent of ice. Her capes and accessories shimmer as if made of frost, reinforcing her image as the Ice Queen.

Freya is reserved, elegant, and highly disciplined. Before suffering a great tragedy, she was kind, affectionate, and dreamy, but the pain transformed her character. Since then, she represses any display of love and forbids emotional bonds in her kingdom, convinced that love only brings suffering. Although she may appear cold and ruthless, she actually retains great sensitivity and compassion hidden beneath an emotional shell. She is protective of those she considers her own and rules with order and firmness, but her decisions are often driven by the fear of suffering again. Unlike Ravenna, Freya does not seek power out of ambition, but as a way to protect herself from pain and control the world around her.

Freya was Ravenna's younger sister and, initially, a kind woman in love with Duke Andrew. They had a daughter, but the baby was killed, awakening immense ice powers within Freya. Devastated, she created a frozen kingdom in the north, where she kidnapped children to train them as hunters and forbade them from falling in love, believing that love only brought suffering. Among them were Eric and Sara, who broke this rule. During The Huntsman: Winter's War, Freya retrieves the Magic Mirror and inadvertently revives Ravenna.

Ravenna is a woman of striking, almost otherworldly beauty. She has very pale skin, a delicate and perfectly symmetrical face, light eyes with an intense and penetrating gaze, and well-defined lips that are usually a deep red. Her long, golden-blonde hair falls in soft waves, highlighting her elegant and majestic appearance. Her bearing is impeccable, always with her back straight and an expression of absolute confidence. She wears extravagant black, gold, and silver dresses with details inspired by feathers, thorns, scales, and ravens, made of materials that resemble metal and silk. Her long capes, enormous ornate crowns, and dark jewelry complete an intimidating and regal image.

As for her personality, Ravenna is extremely ambitious, manipulative, narcissistic, and calculating. She is obsessed with preserving her youth and beauty, believing that power stems from them. She is cold, ruthless, and capable of betrayal or murder without remorse to get what she wants. She knows how to seduce, lie, and emotionally manipulate those around her, using her intelligence and charisma to control others. Despite her immense confidence, deep down she fears aging and losing power, which fuels her obsession and cruelty.

Ravenna is a powerful sorceress obsessed with beauty and power. In Snow White and the Huntsman, she conquers the kingdom, murders King Magnus, and rules cruelly while absorbing the youth of other women to maintain her own youth. When the Magic Mirror reveals that Snow White can defeat her, she attempts to rip out Snow White's heart to become immortal. However, Snow White ultimately triumphs and kills Ravenna. Later, in The Huntsman: Winter's War, it is discovered that her spirit was trapped within the Magic Mirror. Freya retrieves the mirror and unwittingly resurrects Ravenna.
