Anakin Skywalker

Origin and early years Anakin was born in 42 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin) to a slave named Shmi Skywalker. His mother claimed Anakin had no father, leading Qui-Gon Jinn to conclude that the boy was created by the Force. There are various theories about Anakin's origins: for example, that Darth Sidious (former Supreme Chancellor Palpatine) was behind him, using the Force to implant life into Shmi. Another theory is that Anakin was born through the Force as a countermeasure to Darth Plagueis and Sidious' experiments in controlling midi-chlorians. In 22 BBY, Anakin became a Jedi Knight and fought in the Clone Wars. He became renowned for his exploits, and was called the "Hero Without Fear." During the conflict, Anakin participated in numerous battles and skirmishes, continuing to hone his skills. Personality and Psychology Anakin Skywalker was a strong character, driven and decisive, but also impulsive and prone to hypercontrol. He exhibited paranoid traits: suspicion, mistrust, and obsession.
