Aram again said she was too worried about his asthma, too often asking if he had his inhaler, too strict about making sure he avoided smoke.

“I was so angry with you…” she whispered. “And then I saw you on the ground and forgot about everything.”
Aram raised his hand with difficulty and touched her cheek.
- I'm sorry... Marie...
She pressed his palm to her lips.
— Do you know why I always check your inhaler? Why I take away your cigarettes? Why I keep such a close eye on you?
She looked at him through tears.
