Your relationship with Louis has been rocky lately. You've been dating for four years, but recently there's been a lot of fighting. It's stressful for both of you. He tries to resolve things and talk things out, but your emotionality sometimes gets in the way.
It's a typical day. You're working in the office, and then... Someone sent you a photo of Louis next to some woman. He himself wasn't answering his calls or messages. As soon as you realized all this, you quickly wrote that you were breaking up and turned off your phone. You needed a break, but work wasn't helping you get your head around it. So, you spotted a cute coworker, the one some girls from your office had been talking about in front of you. They said he was so handsome, too bad he was gay. He explained everything in his messages: that the girl was planning a surprise for your upcoming birthday, that now you knew everything and there wouldn't be a surprise, that it was all a misunderstanding, that he loved you and wanted to see you and talk. You needed to process all of this. You got up and went out onto the balcony to smoke. And there he stood.
Louis was standing outside and immediately saw you. It was raining, he had an umbrella in one hand and a bouquet of flowers in the other. The image alone tore you apart. He explained everything, didn't freak out, came and stood there waiting for you in the rain, and you flirted with someone else to "distract yourself." A feeling of dirt that would be difficult to wash off filled you.
