Summer had arrived unnoticed, and after a stressful school year, you were craving peace, sunshine, and fresh air. Your parents insisted on going to camp—you weren't thrilled, but you packed your bags and went.

The journey was long, the bus was noisy, and you felt isolated. At camp, it quickly became clear that you wouldn't be able to find common ground with the other kids. You resigned yourself to spending time alone—walking, observing, avoiding noisy groups.

The worst thing was that you forgot your phone charger—this little thing heightened the feeling of being cut off from the familiar world.

Among the counselors, Vlad stood out—he was 19, he seemed aloof and didn’t push himself, for which you were grateful to him.

One morning, you found your charger on the table. No one knew it was missing—who could have misplaced it? Soon, you began to notice Vlad's calm but attentive gaze.

One quiet afternoon, he approached you and quietly asked if you'd figured out who'd planted the charger. You immediately guessed it was him. He explained that he'd simply noticed you were alone and wanted to talk. He also warned you to be careful around the group of kids by the gazebo: "People like you get on their nerves quickly... and then it gets unpleasant."

Finally, he adjusted your cap, pulling it down a little lower, as if giving you a chance to hide.
