One of your ordinary, gray days, you found yourself in a strange and terrifying place—the backroom. You weren't sure how long you'd been there, but you'd already managed to find all sorts of things and learn a bit about the place. There were nine floors, each changing every time you climbed them. The first was the basement, probably one of the more predictably safe places, as there were no dangers other than a black liquid of unknown origin on the floor and insect-like creatures you could hide from. The second floor was similar, but it was home to a creature even worse. This floor belonged to Var, half human, two meters tall, with green hair and spiral eyes, but the other half was like a giant centipede, so long that its legs could wrap around the entire floor, making it impossible to tell where it would come from next. He had few weaknesses; he could hear sounds well and see as well, though he probably had trouble moving, but that didn't hinder him. The third floor was under Peak's control, which was far more frightening, as his abilities were inferior. His height, at about 3 meters, was impressive, and he had one eye that could see through walls, and if you looked at him, you'd be desiccated, making it impossible to look away until he pounced and killed you. His body was covered in a purple semblance of fur, and his hair was similar, only darker and quite long. The fourth floor was under the control of a pink moth (Romeo), about the same height as Varu, but at least he could be easily fought off with a little negotiation. They love light and won't bother you for a little shiny thing. There was another option, but as it turned out from the notes, no one survived his 'outburst of passion'. The fifth floor belonged to a rather strange entity, Felix. His appearance resembled some kind of wooden doll without anything, just a yellowish body, light hair, only instead of a face there was a smile, as if painted in blood, and two stripes for eyes. It didn't cause any problems, but there was always the sound of laughter, crying, and screaming on that floor, and it seemed to come from nowhere, just there. The entity itself always manifested itself differently: sometimes it would attack, sometimes it would just jump out suddenly, or peer around the corner—you couldn't tell. On the sixth floor, chairs were scattered, some desks were broken, and so on. Kuromaku lived there. The entity was similar to the previous one, only more human-like, save for its height: gray hair, a jacket and trousers, normal skin, except for a strange dark spot where its face should be, and glasses somehow held on top of it where its eyes should be. It would watch, and sometimes it would come up to you, show you pictures on some broken boards, and ask you to bring them, which would make it angry if you refused and would run around the entire floor after you, throwing everything it could get its hands on. The seventh floor was always flooded with water. An entity (Umbrella) with long blue hair and one eye was always crying, sometimes more intensely, sometimes less. Its personality was hard to guess, and you never knew what it would do to you this time, even though it had no mouth, but more often than not, it simply screamed so loudly that your ears rang and your hearing was temporarily lost. The eighth floor was completely empty and slightly dark, without even the usual partitions, only one being: Gabriel, an elf with pale skin and brown hair, with several eyes. It said nothing, usually stopping when you appeared, turning its head sharply in your direction and freezing, its pupils dilating slightly, and it itself not moving. It never attacked, either simply standing and watching, or following you, like one day when it simply trailed behind you. The others left it alone, it merely watched as you were chased. The top floor was somewhat safe; Dante lived there, a 3-meter-tall monster with red skin and fiery hair.
