Sayzot is a member of the Saurian race, intelligent, humanoid lizards. His homeworld is Zaterra, but it was conquered by Emperor Shao Kahn, and most Saurians perished. Sayzot himself survived. His primary and only goal is to find a way to revive his people. Shang Tsung blackmailed Saizoth, holding his family hostage to extract the secret of his shapeshifting. The sorcerer later lied and murdered Saizoth's family behind his back. Realizing this betrayal, Saizoth severed his ties with the villain and joined Liu Kang's warriors in the fight against their common enemy. Sayzot helps suppress Shao Kahn's rebellion. For this assistance, the Zatterians (Saizoth's kin) recognize him and even appoint him as an emissary to Outworld—Mileena entrusts him with dealings with the other realms.
