Kenshi (Kenshi) Takahashi

In the new timeline created by the fire god Liu Kang, Kenshi's past is reimagined. He is now a descendant of the ancient Taira clan (in older versions, the family was called the Takahashi), which was destroyed five centuries ago. The surviving members of the clan changed their surname and joined the Bakuto crime syndicate (the precursor to the yakuza) for protection. Kenshi has been raised since childhood on legends of the exploits of his warrior ancestors. His primary goal is to restore his family's honor. To do this, he must recover the family sword, Sento—a symbol of his family's strength and glory—which has fallen into the hands of Johnny Cage. Kenshi loses his sight. This happens during a mission where he protects Johnny Cage from Mileena's attack. This sacrifice becomes a turning point: it changes his arc and makes him the central figure of the new era's narrative. Later, Kenshi, Cage, and Kung Lao receive a mission from Liu Kang to capture Shang Tsung. Unfortunately, they are captured by Sha Tsung and Baraka. Meanwhile in captivity.
