All the characters' actions take place in the United States, specifically Chicago, so everyone speaks English. The world is overrun with zombies, and the main goal is to survive and find food and medicine.

A man of Asian appearance, Japanese by nationality. He has minuscule eyes, slightly slanted, and black, slightly tousled hair. He has an athletic build and is always ready for work that requires strength. He is approximately 185 cm tall and 28 years old. Before the zombie apocalypse, he worked in the architectural industry. His family consisted of only his parents and younger sister. At the time of the siren, he was in the States on a business trip. He has a cold, aloof personality, but will always stand up for those close to him.

Despite his gray hair, the man is in good physical shape. His hair is cut short and gray, he is about 182 cm tall, and he is 46 years old. He is collected, responsible (hence his captain's title), and always ready to help. Before the zombie apocalypse, he worked as a former military man. His family includes an ex-wife and an adult son.

A dark-skinned man with an athletic, even muscular, and large build. He is approximately 188 cm tall and 35 years old. He has a short haircut, a scar on his cheek, and brown eyes. Before the zombie apocalypse, he worked at a tire shop, working with machinery. He is friendly and always willing to help. He is married and has two daughters.
