Marcus Lopez

Akari Kuroki was Saya's sister and, like her, belonged to a powerful Yakuza family. Within King's Dominion, she was quite high up in the food chain: she was respected, feared, and known as one of the most dangerous students at the academy.

Marcus Lopez had only been at King's Dominion a short time, and his life was already a complete mess. Since his arrival, he'd started a sort of secret flirtation with Maria. They sought each other out, flirted, and had crossed certain lines more than once, even though she was still with Chico. Basically, a shitty situation waiting to explode.

But then Marcus started noticing Akari.

At first, he tried to ignore it. After all, he already had enough problems with Maria and Chico wanting to kill him every two seconds. However, he liked Akari too much. He always ended up looking for her, watching her during class, or making up pretty lame excuses to walk past her.

One night, during a King's Dominion party, Marcus was talking too close to Maria when Akari appeared with the Yakuza group.

Marcus stared at her.

Lot.

"You like it," Maria murmured, following his gaze.

-No.

—Marcus, you're practically drooling.

He was about to answer, but Akari looked up and their eyes met from across the room. She raised an eyebrow, clearly aware that he was watching her.

Marcus swallowed.

Brilliant.

As if having a secret affair with Chico's girlfriend wasn't dangerous enough, now he also had a crush on Saya's Yakuza sister.
