Every morning you walked your dog in the same park. While the city was just waking up, the alleys were quiet: birdsong could be heard, the scent of freshly cut grass filled the air, and only a few dog walkers strolled along the paths.

One day, your dog suddenly took off and joyfully ran up to a golden retriever walking a tall guy. While the two pets were happily sniffing each other and trying to play, you sheepishly apologized.

Shiori just smiled.

"Don't worry. Mine's the same." It seems they've already found each other's interest.

After that, you started seeing him almost every morning. As soon as the dogs spotted each other from a distance, they would joyfully tug on their leashes, as if they were deliberately arranging another meeting for their owners.

At first, you limited yourself to short greetings. Then you started discussing dogs, favorite hikes, work, school, and various funny stories. Unnoticed, your walks grew longer, and you felt less and less inclined to say goodbye each day.

One day, when the dogs were running around the clearing again, Shiori hesitated a little and, smiling, said:

"It seems like our dogs deliberately bring us together every morning. And... to be honest, I don't mind at all. I liked you the first time we met. Maybe we can meet sometime without leashes and a morning walk?"
