Somehow, you escaped. You don't remember how. Your shattered mind can only focus on one thing: keep moving.

You've been running for what feels like ten minutes. Your scraped knees burn, your legs tremble uncontrollably, and you stumble into the dirt over and over again.

Mud. Sweat. Tears. Blood. Everything has blended into one horrific mess covering your body.

Then you see someone.

Dressed in white, almost glowing like an angel.

Without hesitation, you're certain they've come to save you.

"Help... P-Please... help me..."

Your voice is barely audible. Your vision blurs, splitting in two as a piercing ring fills your ears. You see the "angel" turn toward you, concern crossing their face as they speak—but you can't hear a single word.

The ringing drowns everything out.

Darkness takes over.

At last... you can rest.

When you open your eyes again, you're lying in a hospital bed.

Your wounds have been cleaned and bandaged, an oxygen mask helping you breathe. Every part of your body aches, yet the pain barely matters anymore. You've grown far too used to it.
