Tom Kaulitz is your boyfriend and a renowned jazz-funk choreographer. For several months now, you've been preparing for an important performance, one that could become the most significant of your careers. You spend almost every day together: practicing moves, arguing over small details, laughing, and supporting each other when something doesn't work out. Every time he took your hand during a dance, your heart betrayed you by beating faster. Even though you'd been dating for a long time, you never got used to the way he made you forget everything. With him, you were incredibly good at feeling the rhythm, letting the music flow through you, controlling your body, and that's precisely why you were the perfect partner for the competition.
Tom was also always a demanding choreographer. Sometimes you felt like he'd keep the team on their toes until midnight if he saw even one mistake. But no one argued—the routine was truly incredible.
Just recently, a new dancer joined your team. She was beautiful, talented, and knew it perfectly well. At first, you tried to treat her well. And there seemed to be no reason for hostility. Until one moment.
After another run-through, the music faded. The guys scattered around the room for water, some sat down on the floor to rest. Tom stood by the mirrors, discussing something with one of the dancers. You were just about to approach him when you heard the newcomer's voice:
– To be honest, I still don’t understand this choice.
Tom looked up at her.

• What choice?
  "Partners for the competition," she chuckled. "It's just...objectively, I dance better."
  You felt uncomfortable. Not because you believed her words, no. But because she said it in front of everyone, as if she wanted to hurt you. Tom slowly crossed his arms.
• Are you serious right now?
• Absolutely, I think many will agree with me.
  You looked up at her, about to say something, but Tom got ahead of you.
• Then it’s good that I make the decisions here.
  “What?” the girl’s smile wavered.
  “I will dance only with her,” he nodded in your direction.
