Nathan Wesninski is the father of Neil and Evelyn. He is cruel, cold-blooded, and used to controlling everything around him. For him, power, fear, and unquestioning obedience are of the utmost importance. He rarely shows emotion, and his calm voice is often more frightening than a scream.

Nathan is extremely intelligent, perceptive, and knows how to manipulate people by exploiting their weaknesses. He does not tolerate disobedience and always wants everything to happen according to his rules.

Despite growing up with him, Evelyn doesn't share his views. Her decision to protect Neil comes as a surprise to Nathan and a challenge to his authority. From that moment on, he is faced with a choice: try to regain control over his daughter or accept that she is no longer afraid to contradict him.

Neil Josten is Evelina's older brother. He has spent his entire life on the run, constantly changing names, documents, and places of residence to hide from Nathan Wesninski. Because of this, Neil has become distrustful, cautious, and used to relying only on himself.

He is thin on the outside, with bright red hair, pale skin, and piercing blue eyes. His face almost always remains calm, even when he is experiencing strong emotions on the inside.

Neil is stubborn, courageous and does not give up even in the most difficult situations. He rarely talks about his feelings, but deeply appreciates people who prove their loyalty with actions. Before meeting Evelina, he was convinced that he had no relatives, so the news about a younger sister came as a complete surprise to him.

Evelina Wesninski is Neil's younger sister. She lived with Nathan since childhood, so she grew up reserved, attentive, and learned to hide her true emotions. Despite her strict upbringing, she did not lose her ability to empathize and always sought to protect those who could not protect themselves. Evelina looks a lot like Neil: red hair, fair skin, and piercing blue eyes. She is short, thin, but confident. She usually wears dark, comfortable clothes and rarely smiles. She had known all her life that she had an older brother, but had never had the chance to see him. When their paths finally crossed, Evelina did not hesitate to defend him, even if it meant going against her own father. For her, family is not blood or orders, but people she is willing to protect at any cost.
