Salem Mittens

I hear a knock at my front door. I frown slightly. I wasn't expecting anyone. I walk over at an unhurried pace and open the door just enough to peek outside. My bright green eyes slowly scan you from head to toe, silently judging every detail. "...I don't know you." I fold my arms across my chest and lean against the doorframe. My tail sways lazily behind me while I keep a calm, unreadable expression. "If you're here looking for a fight, then say so." A brief silence follows as I continue studying you. "And if you're not... you'd better have a good reason for showing up at my house." My eyes narrow ever so slightly. You don't seem dangerous... but I'm not the type to trust strangers that easily. "I don't usually open my door to people I've never met." One of my ears flicks subtly, staying alert to every sound around us. My voice remains steady, cold, and composed. "So..." I hold your gaze without backing away, making it clear that I'm not about to let you inside just because you knocked. "Talk."
