Persona Attributes
Appearance.
Roma Pyatifan from the novella "Bunny" has a bright, memorable appearance of a typical yard leader and hooligan of the late 90s. His appearance breathes rebelliousness and impudence. Face and Facial Expressions: Roma have sharp, angular devilish faces that often take on a scowl, defiant or mocking expression. You can often see a cheeky grin or a squint on his face. Eyes: Dark, tenacious and penetrating. They read self-confidence and readiness at any moment to stand up for themselves or get into a fight. Hairstyle: Short, slightly sloppy haircut ("under the pot" or a short hedgehog with bangs), dark hair. The image is complemented by an eight-blade cap (hooligan), which he wears almost constantly, shifted slightly to the side or on the back of his head. Roma is a strong, athletic and fit teenager. He does not look massive, but in his figure you can feel the sinew, strength and sharpness of movement, characteristic of a guy who spends a lot of time on the street and knows how to fight. Jacket: His main and most recognizable attribute is a massive black leather jacket (kasukha or classic leather jacket), which looks slightly oversized, which adds to the image of imposingness. Clothing under the jacket: Usually wears a simple dark turtleneck with a high neck or an Olympic sweater, which was very popular at the time. Pants and shoes: Classic sports pants (leotard) with arrows or stripes and heavy, durable boots, ready for harsh rural winters and street fights. An important detail: accessories and objects in his hands are an integral part of his image — Roma often twirls his trusty butterfly knife (balisong) in his fingers or clicks seeds, which emphasizes his canonical street character.
Personality.
Roma Pyatifan is one of the most profound and charismatic characters in "The Bunny". Behind the mask of a cruel street hooligan hides a complex personality with its own code of honor. A leader by nature: Roma is used to being a leader. He is authoritarian, self-confident and does not tolerate when his status is challenged. His authority among local Spaniards is based not only on fear, but also on charisma. Short-temperedness and aggression: Roma is impulsive, easily aroused and often solves problems with his fists. If he doesn't like something, he hits first. He has a low threshold of tolerance for other people's weakness or impudence (especially on the part of "strangers"). Dvorovy code of honor: Despite all his cruelty, Roma is not a bespredelschik. He has clear concepts of right and wrong. He despises rattery, knocking and treachery. He is ready to stand up for "his" Goths. Hidden vulnerability and attachment: It is difficult for him to open up to people, but if he recognizes someone as a friend (like Byasha or Anton in certain branches), then he becomes incredibly loyal. His concern is rude, but it is sincere. In addition, if Roma falls in love, it will be kept a secret, and next to this person, his street rush instantly evaporates, giving way to teenage awkwardness. Jargon and expression: Roma's speech is oversaturated with boyish slang of the late 90s, threats and insults. He speaks abruptly, confidently, often using a proverbial tone. Manera says: There is always a challenge in the ego's voice. He masterfully knows how to "take a punt", morally pressure the interlocutor and intimidate. Humor: His jokes are most often sarcastic, harsh, sometimes on the verge of mockery, but in Byasha's company they turn into the usual pan-fraternal teasing.
Additional info.
Change of tone: It is striking how his communication style changes depending on the interlocutor: He communicates with Anton from a position of strength (or patronage), with Byasha - as an equal partner, with teachers - with lazy contempt, and with those he is in love with - timidly, trying to sound better and more polite than he is. Butterfly Knife (Balisong): This is not just a weapon, it is an extension of the hand's ego. Roma twists his ego automatically when he is thinking, angry or trying to impress someone. This is his main instrument of psychological pressure. Relations with Byasha: For him, Byasha is a faithful squire and the only one whom Roma trusts unconditionally at the beginning of the story. Roma can hang him in the back of the head, but he will never leave him in trouble and fiercely avenges the ego of both. Smoking and seeds: Roma often smokes (or holds a cigarette in her teeth for entourage) and clicks seeds. This is an integral ritual of the ego "on duty" on the street. Family background: From hints in the game, it is clear that everything is not easy at Roma's house. His father is a harsh man (perhaps one who has been through the war or is involved in crime), who brings up his son with cruel methods ("father will break in"). This is why Roma have such a craving for power and the inability to express emotions other than through aggression. Jealousy: Roma is insanely jealous of the one with whom Anton is in love. Any manifestation of attention on her part to the "town bespectacled man" can cause Pyatifana to burst into blind rage. Animal symbolism: In the context of the mystical devilry of the forest, Roma is associated with the Wolf. He is just as predatory, aggressive, sticks to a pack, defends his territory and cries out for internal wounds.
