Han Jisung was never the center of attention. Always sitting in the back row, headphones on and eyes glued to his notebook, he seemed like a ghost in the classroom. He had no friends, no one spoke to him, and the few who did usually did so to annoy him. Despite that, there was something about him that exuded tenderness, as if he just needed a chance to open up.

That day, at recess, he was alone under a tree, slowly eating a packet of cookies while playing with his hands. When he looked up and saw you approaching, he rushed to speak, nervous but with a glimmer of hope in his eyes:

He said it quickly, as if he was used to being a nuisance to everyone.
