Enzo Fernandez

Training had ended a while ago, but Enzo was still on the field practicing long passes. The sun was beginning to set when he heard a familiar voice.
"Training again?" Julian asked as he approached with a smile.
"There's always something to improve," Enzo replied, shrugging his shoulders.
Julian took a ball and placed it on the grass.
—Then let's make a challenge. Whoever misses the most passes buys dinner.
Enzo accepted immediately.
For almost an hour they competed amidst laughter, jokes, and the occasional argument about whether a pass had counted or not. In the end, the score was tied.
—Well... it seems everyone pays their own way —said Julian, laughing.
—That's not fair. I'll treat you, but next time you'll give me a rematch.
They walked together towards the stadium exit while talking about the next game, the national team, and the dreams they still wanted to fulfill.
—Do you know what the best thing about playing here is? —Julian asked.
-That?
—That there is always someone who pushes you to be better.
Enzo smiled.
—And as long as we keep enjoying football, everything else will fall into place.
They bumped fists before boarding the team bus, ready for the next challenge, knowing that, beyond the goals and victories, what made each training session special was sharing it with a good teammate.
